100's of posts, excluding personal attacks, they are essentially the same 4 posts over and over. @LagunaBrown, you've made your positions perfectly clear. Repetition does not make them any more correct.

He wants 22.4s because cover driver are technically PT employee's. Meaning they contribute less a hour to the pension. So they will be paid almost $3 more a hour up 2080 hours into our pension. I believe its a increase of $27,000 a year. I could be wrong on the total I'd have to look again.
That and members that go cover driving then right to RPCD make more money because they jump progression pay.

What do you think about surepost... we loose so much volume to the post office over this service and was one of my top 3 issues I would have liked to see addressed in this contract. Thought the Union was going to negotiate proximity language to help get more stops back on the cars and run a few more routes.....
Agreed on surepost

Just because you are tcd that doesn't guarantee that you can become rpcd. Seniority rules at all times. Anyone who is part time with more seniority can come bump those tcd. Unbelievable you don't know the contract and claim to be a steward
I know the rules. You are missing the point. Go read my earlier post about pay progression. We tell all our guys wanting to go RPCD to go cover driving first just to get the red circle pay rate. If they don’t then they make dramatically less in their 4 year progression. Meanwhile they let a lower seniority driver get higher pay and RPCD progression as a cover driver.

Think about what you said. If I was right behind you in seniority but I went Cover driving I would be making $27 while your still making part time money. Then a RPCD spot opens you would would get it at $18 dollars an hour and go through a 4 progression. The next spot opens up I go RPCD and am red circled at $27 dollars all through progression which is more than you make and I also will go to top rate sooner because my pay progression started before you.

Ups and our once great union know this contract sucks. If it was so great they would of had a vote already. I highly doubt a vote before peak season so maybe a vote in late January.

True what he said. On one hand you have a higher wage.
On the other hand you have full-time seniority.
Which would you choose?...
Here you can get both if you play it right. A few months before you know your close to a RPCD or 22.4 spot you go into a Cover Driver position to get red circled pay rate and start your progression pay clock. At least that is how it works here.

You want a toe? I can get you a toe.
You dont get it...
and you support the TCDs. You've got no leg to stand on.

Get rid of TCDs and vote out 22.4s. There wont be anything left except ft pkg car drivers.

Problem solved.
Pulled up today saw a huge vote no billboard in the back of someone's truck. Lmao

My area is rural with not a lot of votes but it's going down in flames here
