a TCD has been around for years and is already a two tier driver that makes less than a 22.4.

not in my local its not! and many other locals as well. how can you ask me to vote yes on something that just creates the same result for me, that i never had, that your complaining about? trying to convince me to accept something on a national level because it has already been previously forced on you at a local level? fix your damn local language to get rid of your two tier system you got now and leave mine alone!

More locals have it than not. You can thank Ron Carey for bringing two tier drivers to us in 1997. What a horrible President to do that to us.

so over 50% of the country has some sort of year round partimer delivering ground outside of peak. would love to know if that's factual. also using your own logic, wouldn't it be just as horrible for the current president to introduce another form of two tier driver 20 years later? your sayin it was no good then but ok now? your very confusing friend

These guys like @LagunaBrown think it's OK to push countless members off of the cliff, as long as they can point a finger at the the stone that started the landside decades ago.

Your point is extremely valid about this administration expanding what @LagunaBrown is condemning.
It's a piss poor excuse for a concession, as they try to bring themselves up, by bringing someone else down.

It's like he doesn't think about what he posts, or he's hoping we're to stupid to notice.

lower wage than any clerk, driver, or feeder. There are no inside jobs where I work. Late jet means staying late. My 18 years have also meant WEAR and TEAR on the body, not fresh like the newbies getting a $2.00 increase . I and my fellow seniority employees DESERVE the $2.00 bump up AS WELL.
Go full time for Christ’s sake. Who gets a job at UPS and expects to make as much as a full time employee? Enjoy your part time benefits much?

Oh don’t play dumb. You guys know that this is an improvement to our cover driver language. Why don’t you tell people how the 22.4 and cover drivers jump your lame RPCD progression (see below)
0F6E24A9-B63A-4DEF-A790-49C00A7923CF.jpeg

Our cover drivers get red circled at over $27 dollars an hour to start and then go into RPCD position. That means for the 4 year progression they are making WAY more than your guys and cover driver time counted towards RPCD progression credits so they go right to top rate sooner. I bet your guys would like our set up better if they knew how it really worked.

I just attended a Union informational about our new cintract. This contract is all about the benefits for feeders drivers package car drivers and part-timers that want to become drivers. If you are a part timer and this job is just a supplement to a full-time job then VOTE NO on this contract. There is nothing in this contract for us and it seems like Union leadership doesn't give a crap. I've got 18 years with UPS. New people coming in or going to be starting out with a $2 raise but us veteran seniority employees are getting nothing we're going to get our regular $0. 70 how about UPS bump us up $2 and then give us our yearly raise. This contract is a NO go for us

You right but 22.4 take away a lot from Regular Drivers too, and gives to new drivers or part timers that want a combo job. Its a little more complicated, thats only a small portion of the problem with this coming up contract. Thats why we All have to
Vote No.

OK I'm clueless. Spell it out for me.

Can't, Haters Love me so much. They are waiting for my comments, so they will explained you at their convenience. So, you should change the thread title asking for specifically them to answer you. They are always trolling us anyways. Good luck. Vote No by the way. This contract sucks!!!

Dig him up and we'll thank him scum bag.
Carey saved us from HMOs and Performance based raises amongst other cursed changes including more subcontracting.

Hmmm. More subcontracting. Sounds familiar.

So what has the current GP et al done about reversing the 2 tiered slide in the last 20 yrs of their reign...4 times longer than Carey was GP I might add.

Pounding on the dead is really lame. But then again I guess we have to remember what your agenda is.

Then I would say my argument to vote NO has been validated, by your logic. Pay your seniority, knowledgeable, productive PTimers the Xtra $2.00 that the NEW PT employees are going to get. As a retention thank you for our knowledge, dedication.
You are absolutely right, it's incredible to me that a 4year seniority P/t will work for $13.70 an hour while a new hire starts at $13. If there are no catch-up raises then seniority P/ts should be a vote NO!

I would like to see overtime language in the master for 22.4s. Otherwise I don't have a problem with the contract. Apparently some locals really suck as*.
If your OK with the contract are you OK with;

1. No catch-up raises for Part-timers
2. 22.4 drivers with no 9.5 protection working weekends for $6 less doing the same job as RPCDs, fairs day work for days pay!!
3. No pension raises for 25 and out for the second contract in row.
4. The memorandum of understanding on the pension on the last page of the proposed contract.
5. Retirees cannot vote on contracts

If you are a yes vote and the company gets away with this I can only imagine what the 2023 contract will look like.

So you love the Ron Carey even though he introduced Two Tier drivers in the West? With all your talk about the 22.4 you should at least agree he sucked. I guess you want your daddy Hoffa to clean up his mess.

They just filled the new atlanta hub with people from the homeless shelters.
See how long those people last there although I’m glad that maybe a few would be able to get themselves out of a bad situation and maybe make ups a career and build their lives back up but that number is probably very slim
