Dumbasses that work during their lunch and break. Drive at excessive speeds. Roll stop signs. D.R. packages to the fastest, easiest location, disregarding potential theft or weather damage. Sign for packages with no one present. Literally run in the streets. Cut accross lawns. Call pickup accounts instead of actually going there. E.C. packages simply because they dont wanna deliver the area. Do not attempt call tags. Double park. Park illegally. Whine about dispatch in the morning and get stuff cut off them. Come in early and load truck/organize load off the clock. The list goes on, and on.
Basically someone who doesnt do the job like a man, but instead a bitch, without a single ounce of integrity.

I'm on board with everything else, but double parking and illegal parking* are my bread and butter homie.

*never handicapped spots or fire lanes, of course.

Runner/gunners treat UPS like a charity with the belief they are helping themselves. They think they need to get done as quickly as possible at whatever cost... taking a paycut and as many shortcuts to avoid doing the job the right way are ok to meet that goal. They are the ones who cry the loudest when told to go take stops or make pickups for another route at the end of the day. They also believe management are their friend and have their backs.

Newbie here been seeing that term thrown around, but what exactly constitutes one?

Basically a person that should be working at FedEx that's a runner and Gunner . He or she doesn't do lunch loads package car in the morning before the clock is running. Wants to go home early at all in any cost cuz baby now they are definitely 100% taken an hour out of your day so don't do your lunch the company will take the hour and you work for free good luck
