Before worldport was built, does anyone know what would be the “big hub” for everything air related if there was one? Just curious

Good to see you, hope you are ok.my aged memory. The acquisition of Menlo/Emery which operated out of Dayton Ohio.
Eventually, Dayton, Ohio, the Emery hub closed soon after the HWP expansion.
There was an operation in former a Westover AFB B52 hanger that housed an aircraft maintenance company. Emery was one of their customers. They used to fly over my house all the time. Alas, Emery is but a memory.my aged memory. The acquisition of Menlo/Emery which operated out of Dayton Ohio.

Oh my, I have actually been looking for a pocket protector!!!1980 Worldport opened with contracted airlines/crew like Orion,Ryan Air, Evergreen and others. Yes I wrote Orion. They had 727s, a few 74s, and the largest DC8 fleet in the world. Airline Deregulation was 77? and UPS got their Airline Certificate in the early 80s. Next Day air started mid 80s. Pkg car license plates and pocket protectors had the Next Day Air logo on them. Now airs just sit if they are late. Need to know what a pocket protectors is….Go look it up.

Amazon has generic pocket protectors. As for a UPS branded one, you would have an easier time finding a unicorn.Oh my, I have actually been looking for a pocket protector!!!
Tired of ink ruining cargo pants pockets, clipping pens on lanyards and forgetting to retract point resulting in shirts with ink dots.
I digress from HWP and Emery’s Dayton Hub….
I still have one that was never used. I wasn't much of a pocket protector guy.Amazon has generic pocket protectors. As for a UPS branded one, you would have an easier time finding a unicorn.
