Can I borrow your crystal ball? I need the winning lottery numbers for tomorrow.

Not when this issue is worked out after peak.

The past few years? OK. Its only 4 more Saturdays. Get over it.

Vote.

Yes, plenty of locals have been forced 6th punches since Covid. And why should we give them any more time? Contract was ratified months ago and they had a 60 day grace period.

As for voting, I have every contract I have been here, even as a PT’er. I supported SOB and he delivered on many promises. One of which was no forced 6th punch. Can’t walk back on that the first peak it was bargained for and won.

No forced 6th punch is the main reason I voted yes on this contract

Screw the public.

Screw the shippers.

Screw the customers.

Screw UPS.

You’re going to screw thousands of Teamsters right out of a job. And you just might be one of them.

Because we don't want to work 6 days a week?

I feel like you're reaching, either with your eventual outcome or your causation for it.

I’m gonna guess we have been working Saturdays here for atleast the last 5 years here, just give me a helper on Monday and we will knock it out. Before then we use to just work five days and still got it done. It’s like they are scared to have us out late where I am at.

It’s not about screwing anyone, it’s about enforcing the contract the company agreed to. We stood up for what we earned, why are you so willing to give that up?

We’re not there yet

That doesn't seem like a burden that should fall on the shoulders of the workforce, especially after voting in good faith on a contract providing language that prohibits forced 6th punches that the company itself proposed.

I'm willing to work 6 days. They're going to pay me out the ass for it in several ways, but I'm game. If asked what I'd prefer, however? Hell no.
