Some people have responsibilitys... get the kids ready for school, walk the dog ect
Add to that a 45 min commute and it's easially understandable

Brownslave you sure do post a lot. Are you a driver or preloaded? Do you have a life outside of ups. I work 50 to 60 hours a week year round, now maybe 70. I have kids, wife, life outside of this
hole. You know lineman, heavy machinery operators blah blah but they couldn’t do this job, I would take their job in a heartbeat,I’m assuming you wake up, work and then go home and sit on your laptop posting on here.

I get there fairly early, just grab a 30 min nap if the traffic happen to be good that morning.

Pretty much knew what I signed up for a decade ago. It's also why I take as many dead days as possible thruought the year.

Heavy equipment operator for almost 20 years before I came to Ups,the only weeks we weren’t working 6 was because we were working 7,silly to say either one couldnt do this jobBrownslave you sure do post a lot. It's likely that they have already figured that out, and in most locations, that's all this "70 hour" thing is about.
You guys do realize that Christmas Eve falls on a Sunday this year, right???
This is the Company's plan to bring the whole thing together at the eleventh hour, with us working Sunday, December 24th and resetting on Christmas Day.
Now the hours will be available to make that happen.

Every lineman I know could do this job for sure. Not knocking the operators but there's a few I know that probably couldn't hack it here lol

I drive an hour to and from work and rarely feel sleep deprived. Like I said bunch of whiny snowflakes blowing
It's 4-5 weeks worth of work for Christ sake.
Just because you get to go back to your 3 day a week schedule, that doesn't mean the rest of us will.

I agree and like I said I think that's the bigger issue here.
Keep drivers happy for 11 months out of the year and they'll be much more willing to go above and beyond for 1 month out of the year.

I can see a scenario this year where so many drivers and locals are fed up with him that he gets forced out to get a contract to pass.
