Seans letter sounds good, but I don't think it will amount to anything. Peak will be long gone before anything has time to happen.

Hopefully, if nothing else, it'll be somewhat of a protective "We told you so" if any of his members drive their truck off the road, or worse. And I hope somebody forwards a copy of the letter on to the media and points out that this is going on nationwide.

Is it wrong that I had guarantee pay on both Thursday and Friday?

Can't imagine a driver at 70h. By 60h this week most of us were walking zombies and we still had Friday (6pm-10am) left.

Dangerous to have people on the road like that.

It's a huge safety hazard inside too. Can't imagine what my brothers and sisters face on road. Very sorry to hear place stay safe.

"RUL4" lol.

We were told in the PCM this morning it’s now official.
If you are one those idiots that pees in a bottle, get some dignity. You should be driving to nearest public place that has Hot running water so you can wash your hands. Then UPS may need you to work 80 hours a week to make up the extra time. Or maybe UPS will do their job and staff correctly? Lol

Me and my helper.
What a joke. The 70hr rule was made for feeder drivers, not package drivers who are in an out of their truck 200 times a day lifting heavy packages

It's going to take somebody getting killed before ups realizes how serious the negative effects of this 70hr work week can get.

Safety First. Remember that is what UPS cares about, safety

Does peeing out the back barn-doors count?

For the first time in my 3 years as a driver yesterday I physically couldn't do it anymore..
By 9 pm yesterday I was exhausted my legs were cramping I pass by 10 stops couldn't find packages that were right in front of me my brain just gave out on me don't know how I made it until 11 pm.

Never bought my own handtruck
Oh so they push the heavy equipment around? Please enlighten me Mr Tonka

In its simplest form, this job is pretty unskilled, for the rate we get paid, compared to other blue collar jobs. It’s the unreasonable time studies, and all the other BS that makes us forget that.

Yesterday was the first time in a while my legs had gotten tired from a days work. Helper needed the day off so I was left to walk off 235 stops on a 100 mile run by myself. With a stick shift.

I'm not sure how one can get sleepy while delivering, especially at the speed of peak. Constantly moving quick keeps me very awake no matter the hours. It's not like over the road driving hours on end on a highway where you can easily fall asleep behind the wheel.
