You want a toe? I can get you a toe.
So, the question would be, regardless of DOT laws. Is it safe to deliver for 11-14 hours a day, for 5-6 days a week, in a package car, and then drive back to the building?
That's very much an individual thing.

My uncles said in vet school they stayed awake as long as possible each hour doing a series of cognitive tests. This way each person knew where their breaking point was.

I'm being serious. It's not like people on occasion are working long hours. How can you.be safe and productive if you are worn out and miserable?
Totally agree. I don’t have the answer. We need a much stronger contract that has stronger language about weekends and excess overtime. Without giving up our pensions or healthcare. Seems bleak.

I know guys who can drink 15 beers and seem totally sober too. Doesn’t mean they should drive home.

We should hold all of the power this contract.

The shipping industry is as big as ever and growing. They can't get the extra workers they need to staff the operation. Let alone replace us all. Management gives less :censored2:s than us. You think they are gonna go above and beyond to pick up the slack?

You can run yourself short all of the time, it catches up to you. Get back to me in a decade!
Your get beat up mentally and physically here after the decades roll by.
No doubt. Like I said it's really an individual thing.

Are most 20 somethings ok running 70 hours. Probably. Should 20+ year guys be doing it. Probably not.

I ran a 5 ton milling machine that would cut you hand off in a split second for 12 hours a day/ 6 days a week for 2 months when I was young---and lived to tell about it. Normal schedule was 10 hour days/ 6 days a week. You guys are all pusillanimous- now days. (jk)(not about the milling machine though)
