Unload all my missed business.
Shareholders won't like that
Hopefully it won't be a strike.I'm a shareholder. You take all the time you need.
Ups called in air support...
From pilots who don't know where they going or what to do.
Thank you John Walton
Or simply drive for Uber on Saturday. Here is how to get out of working 70 hours a week.
First establish an LLC in your name.
Second get a vehicle and have it designated commercial.
Third pretend you run a delivery service and log some hours/miles. Example. You delivered a pie your wife made to a relatives house for a fee of $1.
Fourth make sure to log hours within official DOT guidelines. This will be important for tax purposes. It's also important to let your family members and friend know that way you have an alibi if DOT wants to check out your business.
Fifth now that you've read all of this and wasted your time thinking this would actually work.....please come back to earth because your ed like the rest of us unless the union does something.
Congratulations you are a sucker.
Uber isn't contained by DOT laws. At least last time I checked they weren't. There was a big lawsuit about itOr simply drive for Uber on Saturday.
But we are, and under ours any paid work performed counts towards your reset and weekly hours.Uber isn't contained by DOT laws. At least last time I checked they weren't. There was a big lawsuit about it
that's true but they don't adhere to those rules because they think they need to help the company.Supervisors are under the same DOT rules as the rest of us are.
grey area?????I brought up the exact same argument to my center manager and he said that UPS legal had approved it. Today our local union and the union bosses for NorCal are meeting with UPS management and lawyers for both sides to decide on a definitive answer. To much gray area if you ask me. I worked 82 hours in 8 days and on my calendar Monday to Monday is 8 days.
First true thing you've ever written on here.just more BS.
Not if you're a package car driver.
Quit spreading false information
Why anyone would even think of working 14 hours straight with no break is beyond me.I posted this earlier. If some of you flowers are too delicate, take an extra hour before or two of meal and sleep during your 14.
If you're as exhausted as you claim it won't be an issue falling asleep. Drivers do it all the time in feeders. If management bitches tell them you felt unsafe to drive.
I'm being serious. It's not like people on occasion are working long hours. How can you.be safe and productive if you are worn out and miserable?
Oh, okay. I guess the DOT doesn't apply to package car drivers. Curious, then why there is such a fuss about the DOT rule of 70/8, which is a DOT rule. But Brownslave knows best.
Depends on the route. I've done a few rural routes that I can do with pretty easy with only taking my 10 paid. Which means you'd be paid for every second of the dayWhy anyone would even think of working 14 hours straight with no break is beyond me.
You're a feeder driver and you've proven you don't understand how the lay applies to package. So why not just stick with what you know......feeders.It doesn't matter, apparently, because the law doesn't apply to package car drivers.
