I file every time. As of today I have 8 outstanding grievances.Dude. Notify management of any pay roll discrepancies the first day you can see your paycheck (Thursday on UPSers) and if they don't give you a live check in a couple working days or a week depending on the amount then file a grievance. Let them sit in their hands because if you file on time you'll get your money plus penalty pay. You're going to compare a full time combo paycheck to some stupid ass 20hrs of pt over time pay? Ridiculous.
Talk to a steward and file.
As far as part time, I was bringing home over $1k a week. Basically I was working full-time hours +, but getting overtime after 5. I went full-time strictly for the pension, figuring out I could handle any bs they threw at me, even a 25% reduction in take home.
Then I came down with health issues which limited my ability to pick up extra shifts. Add that to them moving my pay scale up and down, seemingly at random, and you have a recipe for discontent.
Technically, I could get disability, but that's 18 months without a paycheck.
I'm between a rock and a hard place, and they are slowly grinding me down.
So, yeah, I'm willing to go to the wall for this. They signed the same contract we did.
