ask an IE anything

Ha ha ha…..
Here’s the problem with management here at UPS.
Some guy takes some on-line courses that UPS pays for, moves from cleaning buildings into IE at the lowest level of management and has the answers to everything.

Here’s the problem folks!
do you have an actual question or are you just fantasizing about me

Yes, what’s your plan to address this PIP you’re on?
Being “Most Help Needed” for so long is getting old.
We can’t keep moving you around until we find SOMETHING you’re competent at, so what’s the plan?

Sorry to overwhelm you with 2 questions!

Weather is not on issue for most of us, the outside is our office, cold is subjective. Still sounds like my assumption of you not being a driver at least for no more than 6 months might be true.

You asked for questions, but when they get debated or we vent our issues towards UPS you fire back with millennial-like posts.

BTW, the low temps of the nation are in the 30's at it's lowest right now...that's not cold.

i responded only to the incorrect statements about the technology
if you want a philosophical debate as to whether we should have it that's a whole other conversation
if you want to vent, go talk to your boyfriend

anyways i have no obligation to act like a saint, if a dude who whined and complained to mods over getting rekt in another thread wants to come in and make up random nonsense how else should i respond but to mock him?

You're a joke.
You don't know what you're talking about.
No wonder you're at the absolute lowest level of management after 18 years.

My voice was basically regarding the use of Orion when not using it nets less miles and less on road time...most of the time.

I trust that reasoning.
if you want to vent, go talk to your boyfriend
I can't, you took him away when you made him a latte.

You can choose to reply how you wish.

What I'm seeing is drivers from all over the country that have the same issues with Orion that we face here, and @catstalking putting the blame everywhere but where it belongs. Why have Orion if it's too complicated for decentralized UPS to deal with?

Orion works on a route with a driver who has no area knowledge...not like years past when they send you out with a map hoping the boxes don't fall from the shelves.

Can Orion get anyone through a route? Likely not, but the tech is there to keep a rookie on track for the most part.

I can see how it can work, but there are many, MANY....(most) drivers who can finish the route, with the same 10-15 extra SPC, resulting in less OT, less net $$ spent by the company, and much happier customers.

that's the real question; the answer is even with all the disorganization, poor setup, and poorly trained PDS, it still manages to squeeze enough savings to be better than pre-ORION

personally if you told me all the maintenance required, then told me the PDS wouldn't get any additional support to maintain it, i'd have said it was nuts to implement and we'd never make money, and i'd have been totally wrong v0v

They will spend ungodly amounts of money for sensors, cameras, mapping programs no matter if they work or not to monitor and track everything down to a millimeter but won’t put any money into a decent payroll system that pays us correctly. This isn’t something we should have had to bargained for in negotiations…company has an obligation to correctly pay everyone.
