My ZRX has a large compartment behind the airbox for all sorts of exta tools and a bottle of emergency fuel on long trips out in BFE where it is scarce.

My bike has hard bags for extra riding gear and other stuff but I use the fanny pack for regular EDC pocket stuff and a few other small things that I would use while out riding.
