Are those surplus for sale?
I know of a you tuber who would buy some complete and some for parts.
I don't know how old that internet picture is. I would imagine it was an Army Surplus depot at one time. I'm sure nothing like that exists today. A least not with old Jeeps anyway.

Someone must have an old comic book or Popular Mechanics magazine they are saving that has that advertisement in it. If so please post a picture of it.

And some earlier ones had them in the cab with you!

I currently own three vehicles with a fuel tank in the cab.

When I was a kid in 1979, I was with my dad when we got T-boned by a drunk Mexican in a Pontiac Catalina. The truck ('68 K10 stepside) ended up resting on the passenger door.

The behind seat fuel tank did not rupture.

Bystanders helped us get out through the driver side window.

Lap belts. And we were very thoroughly bruised and cut.
