I doubt it. If UPS fires the employee that probably clears their potential liability.

Which is another reason that guy is finished at UPS.

When I started at UPS it was a completely different company but even then the one thing you could absolutely never do was steal. UPS is now far worse about micro managing but attitude towards theft never changed.

I would imagine the employee is embarrassed as hell and didn't want anything to do with putting himself at the mercy of the BC Court. Maybe he didn't even know his wife was going out of her way to try to help him. She sounds like a caring wife. I wish them the best but I believe he will be looking for a new job.

Koontz isn't my favorite author but far from the worst. You can usually get his books cheap at Walmart.
