I had this discussion with a friend the other day.

Why are service sector jobs valued so lowly? People talk like manufacturing has to come back for there to be to be better paying jobs. Why? I'm not talking "minimum wage" but I think Bernie had it right talking about living wage. "Minimum" would just play games with inflation; "Living" would move with economic changes.
