No you'll have to give up the disastrous progressive policies of the early 1900s. Example, income tax, federal reserve, changing election of senators to popular vote instead of the state legislators doing it. That did more to damage the power the state govts were supposed to have.

Some guy was executed last night and it took almost 2 hours to kill him with drugs.
Many of the victims of murder are shot, so why not the perp too ?
Have 5 people aim at a target on the chest....all fire at once......death in about 5-10 seconds or sooner.....none of the 5 know who actually killed him.

Pennsylvania hospital: Wounded doctor fired back at gunman, officials say
A doctor who was grazed by gunfire from a patient in his office at a suburban hospital on Thursday helped stop him by apparently returning fire with his own weapon and severely injuring him, but not before a caseworker was killed, authorities said.
Yeadon Police Chief Donald Molineux said that, "without a doubt, I believe the doctor saved lives."
"Without that firearm, this guy (the patient) could have went out in the hallway and just walked down the offices until he ran out of ammunition," Molineux said.
