I had to bring my daughter to Carlisle, PA, from upstate NY. We took 87 down, went around NYC and picked up the Tpke. We then took either 78 or 80 west. All I remember is the part of Jersey to the west of the Tpke was very nice.

I have also been down to the Jersey Shore and that was very nice.

If you're in Carlisle you're around my delivery area. Just off 81 at the Middlesex exit.

Deplorable.
east vs west jersey .... nah, it's basically north vs south jersey when it comes to talking about which is the armpit of NYC or whatever.

I love covering south jersey in the summers, which is why i work out of 2 different terminals during the year. you're right on, Name Withheld! I cover any shore from Cape May up to Red Bank. some rural areas in between.

My only 2 areas I don't like to cover is Trenton or Camden. I'm glad that I don't work out of a North Jersey hub or there will be alot of send-agains coming back, like these 2 towns.

I cover the City of New Brunswick, so I know all about send-agains from less than desirable neighborhoods, fortunately I'm not in those parts all that often.

Most of Jersey looked decent to me, and I've been to quite a bit of it. I recall Trenton being rather dumpy, and there are other parts that didn't look appealing. But for all the flack NJ gets, plenty of it was very nice. I've spent quite a bit of time around the area of US-1 between Philly and NYC.

It only seemed nice to you because you don't have to stay there. You got to leave!!! :peaceful:

Well, I stayed for periods of a few weeks up to a couple of months, on several occasions throughout the latter part of the previous decade. And I wasn't there as a tourist, so I got to see what typical residents there saw. All I can say is I've been far more uncomfortable in southern states than I ever was in Jersey. I even felt more uncomfortable in Elmsford, NY (North of White Plains) than I ever did there. Overall, the people I encountered were pretty nice. I cannot recall any bad memories of that place right this moment. It could just be the alcohol though.

If they didn't look like stock wheels, I'd accuse you of being a tuner. (But I could be wrong.)

There was a time. But this one is a completely stock 1991 Honda CRX Si. All original, all factory. Even the rebuild is going to be all Honda parts. Am very tempted on putting classic tags on it as well.
