No you are not. If something happened and we're taken to court. Ups would just say the contract expires on July 31, 2023. Hands wiped

After the vote, 1 of 3 things will happen if it is turned down.

1. Both sides will agree to continue the extension while they negotiate.

2. The Union will call a strike.

3. UPS will lock us out.

That is correct and I believe number two and number three would come with lawsuits because of interpretation, who would prevail is anyone’s guess.

We wouldnt strike and they wouldnt lock us out. They would 110 percent go back to the drawing board. How is this even a question? The IPA pilots union has our back. Gonna lock out the pilots?

Ok maybe you’re right but you can’t say they “can’t”. If you don’t believe they will, that is an opinion, and it could be correct.

If you dont work at worldport you cant comprehend how logistically impossible it would be to replace the workforce. They would have to somehow steal the workforce of every airline in north america to replace every marshaller..mechanic..pilot..deicer..push back driver and cargo loader and would still struggle.

He isn't wrong. We are headed into the busy season. Do you really think volume will go down? There will be no strike considering they had a hand shake agreement. Which turns into if it gets voted down they go back and start more bargaining until it gets voted in.

Those anybody truly believe that this TA will be officially ratified after the first vote, including ALL the supplements and Riders ?

People who say? You mean the international leadership? In case you were not here in 1997 the teamsters were broke, I mean, flat broke, I mean they couldn’t even keep all the lights on in the building and we went on strike. They had to borrow money from the AFL-CIO just to give us our $55.
I was here in 97, don’t forget that our $55 check came at the expense of an additional $10 a month in dues that never ended. Hell if I knew I was paying back some goomba loanshark I’d of said keep the damn check.
