Spent a lot of time getting the sights just right. Next time I take her out will be more fun. With handguns I don't even use the sights most of the time but it's still nice to have them adjusted right.

Cap and ball revolvers are fun. A pain to load and clean though I agree.

My Ruger Old Army is very accurate. Better sights than your Remington helps though.

Safety glasses are a must.

Helps to cock it vertically so the cap pieces fall away and don't jam the cylinder .

Fortunately most rifle hammers close around the nipple to contain things. Revolver hammers don't have that feature.

Paid grossly more than MSRP but I don't give a . Not like I'm in a position to bargain. This gun is a seller's market.

I could never understand the European tendency to put mag release in awkward places like bottom of magazine well instead of where your thumb can reach it.

I see the Cz82 is much better there and now available with 2 12 round mags for about 230.

In the meantime while I'm waiting on the Colt to come, I put a new set of grips on the Uberti to try and make the two look more like a pair. It's amazing how much a different color of grips will change the whole look of the gun.
