This is a GMC "5100" flatbed which probably makes it at least a one-ton. Im guessing it's from the mid-50's. The front grille kinda looks like the front of an old P-400 package car that I drove a few times back in the late 80's.

It kind of puts me in the mind of the truck they drive around in on "Counting Cars".

Love that show. It's a little out there on how fast some of the work gets done, but that's reality TV. My buddy owns a big body shop and loves Vegas. He went to their shop to check out the work. He said the ones done for TV were good but the others setting waiting to be picked up were average naturally.

As I recall the turn signals on the fenders were add ons at the dealer after the laws changed in the fifties. I guess hand signals weren't good enough anymore. Most were Signal-Stat like our old package cars had except 4-ways were extra and hard to get.
