The center I'm in now runs about 42 routes a day. They're talking about taking 12 routes out of our building and moving it to the next County what happens if I do not follow the work will I still be full-time.

Once you go FT, there is no going back to PT. Some supplements allow you to bump 2 PTers if you are laid off.

Your question should be, will I still have a job or will I be laid off?

That depends on who, and how many follow the jobs.

If nobody above you follows the jobs and 12 drivers below you follow the jobs, you could be laid off for a long time depending on where you are in seniority.

How long do UPS teamsters stay active for recall?

I was under 2 different UAW contracts and recall rights in both were only guaranteed for the same amount of time you were employed. Three years seniority and they only had to recall you for three years after being laid off. Any time over that three years they could skip you and hire new employees.

Follow the work dummy. Then, get on the transfer list.

Another option is to move near the other building.

Thanks!

It is cold outside and I was just sitting here watching the boob tube.

It is not hard to copy and paste.

I didn't check them all, just some of the major ones. I'm sure there are a few with no language on how long. I did not go that far,

You're welcome!

Our bldg had this happen. Drivers could follow their route or give it up. Two drivers gave up their route and those routes went up for bid in the current center.

idk what would have happened if no one bid those route?

My route went to another bldg 20 years ago. I went with it. Longer(miles) but shorter(time) commute and because it was a new bldg, seniority was dove-tailed.

Take a look at your area. If there is a lot of growth happening, routes may be moving out to make room in your current center for more local routes. We have had routes move out of my building twice. The last 3 moved 2.5 years ago. Right now, we are streeting the same number of routes we did 3 years ago.

Dove tailed means if you were #1 on your seniority list with xx amount of years, and at the new building, no one had more years than you, you were still #1 at the new building in seniority?

You are where your seniority puts you. In the example you posted, you are correct.

It is different if you transfer or bump to another center because of a layoff.

In these cases, you go to the bottom of the seniority list, with your new seniority date being the day of transfer.
