Re: Obamanomics

Let's stabilize this economy first!!
Finally, there was a comment by , of all people, Diane Fienstein who said she didn't see where the money would come from to send $1 billion to Egypt. Maybe more people on that side of the aisle will question Father O.

Moreluck, you have the typical republican style, you know.

Yup, give Egypt (Mubarak) money for the past 30+ years, and when the people finally decide for a democratic country - cut them off !
Good going !

Umm, stabilize the economy?? You mean like the solid two years of GDP growth and a growing number of jobs created and a stock market that has rebounded in 2 years to flirt with 13K and the highest corporate profits in 10 years and the shoring up of all the major banks in the country and stronger dollar (as of late)....

Yea, our economy is in the tank moreluck, Id hate to see what you considered bad, oh wait, GW BUSH had things running smoothly... sorry, my bad, I forgot, lets go back to those days.

HAHAHAHA

Peace.

Re: Obamanomics

Bush was soooo good at it, that not 1 single republican candidate wants Bush near them.
No endorsements, PLEASE, Mr Bush !

There isnt a "prayer" that BUSH will come out of retirement and endorse anyone. An endorsement from BUSH is like a carpenter hammering the final nail in a wooden coffin.

Peace.

Re: Obamanomics

Need some proof of that mr canuck. Who has stated they want no endorsements from Bush?

Common sense would indicate that approval by Mr. Bush would be a negative for the candidate. While Tea-Baggers may yearn for a return to the Bush years, most citizens are very glad he's gone. The proof will come as the election draws closer and Bush is nowhere to be found.

I remember in the last election President Bush saying something to the effect that he would "endorse McCain or not endorse McCain, whichever would help him the most"!

Just out of curiosity, how do companies get these waivers? Seems to me like they are the types of companies that already provide health insurance. If that is the case, then it seems equally as obvious that what Obama said during the health care debate is true: if you have health insurance that you like, nothing changes. Therefore, the only way it makes sense to be angry at the waivers is if one has bought into the idea that this is a "government take-over of the health care industry". But it were such a "take-over", shouldn't moreluck, Baba, and other conservatives be happy that there are so many waivers as to de-fang the federal socialist dragon?

The point is, if the health care law was so good, no one would need a waiver. The controversy is that only a few(relatively) are getting the waivers and in Pelosi's case 20% of all that have been granted are from her district. The argument is, the waivers prove the law is not good.

I don't think so. Depends on why the waivers are granted. This isn't a single payer system. The argument should be, does the law make the system better? And isn't it a good sign that the waivers are allowed and being used? Otherwise it really would be "shoved down our throats".

Re: Obamanation here today

So, why is he in Ireland? Are we at war with them now?
Did he get tired of hearing all the budget drivel and decided to get away?
Did Michelle run low on Beleek? Waterford? Lace? Irish Spring?
Is he making a leprechaun czar?
