The individual mandate of ObamaCare will force us citizens to use insurance as the conduit of payment for routine health-care. It will further erode the doctor-patient relationship. The third party stands in the way between doctor and patient.

The Byzantine nature of ObamaCare is to benefit the rent-seeking classes, not the consumer. Lobbyists and consultants of the health-care industry wrote the bill. In contrast, regarding the lawmakers who voted on the bill, most of them never read it! While the bill itself was over 2000 pages long, the regulations currently being written up by Kathleen Sebelius are even longer! (This means plenty of money for attorneys' fees in business law.)

ObamaCare takes power away from the consumer, who is coerced to make the insurance company his landlord over his own health-care. This will hurt the middle-class the most. The rent paid to the insurance company is a most regressive type of "tax."

ObamaCare Mandates Fealty to Rent-Seeking Classes

1) If some capitalist corporations are the ultimate benefactor from Obamacare, being that Obamacare is socialism and communism then are some capitalist corporations advocating and benefiting from socialism and communism?

2) Does this present an example of where capitalism can and does indeed promote and benefit from what some call socialism and communism?

3) If socialism, communism and capitalism can work hand in hand to benefit one another, how can they then be enemies of one another?

Re: Obamanomics

Fracking as I understand it is mostly used to access natural gas from deep deposits.

I think it's both. From what I understand, high pressure water and steam are injected into the deposits at great depths. It's highly effective in terms of getting the maximum amount of material, but there is a very high danger of polluting the aquifer. One of the biggest objections is that the pipeline will run straight on top of one of the biggest aquifers in the US, hence the high level of concern.

It's the fracking you said that's dangerous and that will be in Canada. It's not the pipeline where the danger lies. Americans know how to build it and have stop gap turn off valves in case of emer.

November 14, 2011 @ 10:01 am Emperor Obama Issuing Another Executive Order, Will Spend $1 Billion To Expand Healthcare Workforce…

Hail Caesar Obama!
(WaPo) — The Obama administration will announce Monday as much as $1 billion in funding to hire, train and deploy health-care workers, part of the White House’s broader “We Can’t Wait” agenda to bolster the economy after President Obama’s jobs bill stalled in Congress.

Grants can go to doctors, community groups, local government and other organizations that work with patients in federal health-care programs such as Medicare and Medicaid. The funds are for experimenting with different ways to expand the health-care workforce while reducing the cost of delivering care. There will be an emphasis on speed, with new programs expected to be running within six months of funding.

“This will open the inbox for many innovators and or
ganizations that have an idea to bring to the table,” Don Berwick, administrator for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, said in an interview. “We’re seeking innovators, organizations and leaders that have an idea to bring into further testing

November 14, 2011 @ 3:57 pm | Nice Job, Barack: Canada Says It Will Sell Their Oil To China If U.S. Reneges On Keystone Pipeline…
Certainly can’t blame Canada, they’re building the friggen pipeline because we asked them to.
HONOLULU, Nov. 14 (UPI) — Canada expects strong interest in its heavy crude oil reserves from China after the U.S. government balked on a major oil pipeline project, the government said.

The U.S. State Department last week said it was reviewing alternate routes for the planned Keystone XL pipeline to avoid environmentally sensitive territory in Nebraska. That decision could move final approval, originally expected at the end of this year, to after the 2012 presidential elections in the United States.

Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper said during a meeting with Asian trading partners in Hawaii that the State Department’s decision highlighted the importance of working closer with the Chinese.

“This does underscore the necessity of Canada making sure that we are able to access Asia markets for our energy products,” he was quoted by The Wall Street Journal as saying. “And that will be an important priority of our government going forward.”

The Canadian government said a heavy crude oil pipeline would get built to carry oil from tar sands projects in Alberta province one way or the other. The direction

global warming is not a science..........it's a religion.

Actually, it's a fact. but since you deny science and embrace religion it would seem that global warming denial is more of a religion. You have no facts, just belief, or as they say, "religion is for those with no proof". There is proof of global warming. You just choose to deny it.

(The Hill) — President Obama golfed on Monday with his long-time friend Robert Titcomb, who in May plead no contest to soliciting a prostitute, according to the White House pool report.

“The president’s fourball at the Mamala Bay Golf Course includes his long-time friend Robert “Bobby” Titcomb who was arrested and plead no contest in May to soliciting a prostitute, Marvin Nicholson, and White House advance man Pete Selfridge,” the report read.
In April, Titcomb was arrested in Honolulu and charged with a misdemeanor for soliciting a prostitute after he approached an undercover police officer. Titcomb’s attorney, William Harrison, said at the time that Titcomb did not fully agree with the facts of the case, but plead no contest because he wanted to take responsibility

I know very few people that deny "global warming". What we do know is that some of the "proof" used has been subverted from what was actually discovered and that some of the reports were falsified. We do know the earth goes through cycles of warming and cooling and it has been going on long before the industrial age. What most of the detractors of the "global warming science" question is the role of man and what, if anything, can be done about the "problem.

The only people that I know of that say "religion is for those with no proof" are atheists, agnostics, etc. In actuality, religion is for those with faith.

Tuesday, November 15, 2011 @ 10:33 am Obama Forgets Hawaii Is Part of The United States, Also Claims It’s In Asia…

Does this mean we’re down to 56 states?
KO OLINA (HawaiiNewsNow) — The APEC conference in Hawaii ended Sunday with President Obama saying, “we’ve got a set of tangible, concrete steps that have been taken that are going to make our economy stronger.” …

One other thing that I want to say about this: When I meet with world leaders, what’s striking — whether it’s in Europe or here in Asia — the kinds of fundamental reforms and changes both on the revenue side and the public pension side that other countries are having to make are so much more significant than what we need to do in order to get our books in order

Re: Obamanation here today

Got this today....

Air Force One- YOU NEED TO BE SITTING DOWN TO READ THIS ONE!

It 's hard to believe that CBS actually said something that wasn't flattering to this so-called President!

Air Force One:

This is from Mark Knoller of CBS.

The pilots and crew of Air Force One are flying more hours than a rookie on a beer run.

They are tired of it too, and are adding more crew to Air Force-1, - I know this for a fact because I'm one of the instructors that trains the crews.

Our company (Atlas Air) has had the Air Force-1 and E-4 contract for over two years and I've been doing it for about 8 months now.

Last year (2010) Obama flew in Air Force One 172 times, almost every other day.

White House officials have been telling reporters in recent days that the Democrat doesn't intend to hang around the White House quite so much in 2011.

They explain he wants to get out more around the country because, as everyone knows, that midterm election shellacking on Nov. 2 had nothing to do with his health care bill, over-spending or other policies, and everything to do with Obama's not adequately explaining himself to his countrymen and women.

And with only 673 days remaining in Obama's never ending presidential campaign, the incumbent's travel pace will not likely slacken..

At an Air Force-estimated cost of $181,757 per flight HOUR (not to mention the additional travel costs of Marine One, Secret Service, logistics and local police overtime), that's a lot of frequent flier dollars going into Obama's carbon footprint.

$80 Million every time it lands & takes off.

We are privy to some of these numbers thanks to CBS' Mark Knoller, a bearded national treasure trove of presidential stats.

According to Knoller's copious notes, during the last year, Obama made 65 domestic trips over 104 days, and six trips to eight countries over 22 days. Not counting six vacation trips over 32 days.

He took 196 helicopter trips, signed 203 pieces of legislation and squeezed in 29 rounds of left-handed golf.

Obama last year gave 491 speeches, remarks or statements.

That's more talking than goes on in some entire families, at least from fatherly mouths.

In fact, even including the 24 days of 2010 that we never saw Obama in public, his speaking works out to about one official utterance every 11 waking hours.

Aides indicate the "Real Good Talker" believes we need more.

Related: Obama spends nearly half his presidency outside Washington, plans to travel more.

Vacationer-in-Chief Spends $1.75 Million to Visit Hawaiian Chums.

Obama has spent over $100 million taxpayer dollars flying around in Air Force One, and probably another $100 million on his entourage.

Obama is just another tin-pot dictator living lavishly at the expense of his subjects.

And we seniors have to "tighten our belts"

THANKS TO ALL WHO HELPED PUT THIS GREEDY WINDBAG IN OFFICE!!

PLEASE BE MORE CAREFUL NEXT TIME!!

In God We Trust.

President Barack Obama is working hard to shore up his liberal political base, but military voters may be less likely to lend support for his re-election. According to the 2011 Military Times Poll of active-duty subscribers, confidence in the overall job performance of the Commander-in-Chief has plummeted from 70% to 25%.

(WSJ) — Even if ObamaCare survives Supreme Court scrutiny next spring, its trials will be far from over. That’s because the law has a major glitch that threatens its basic functioning. It’s so problematic, in fact, that the Obama administration is now brazenly trying to rewrite the law without involving Congress.

The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act offers “premium assistance”—tax credits and subsidies—to households purchasing coverage through new health-insurance exchanges. This assistance was designed to hide a portion of the law’s cost to individuals by reducing the premium hikes that individuals will face after ObamaCare goes into effect in 2014. (If consumers face the law’s full cost, support for repeal will grow.)

The law encourages states to create health-insurance exchanges, but it permits Washington to create them if states decline. So far, only 17 states have passed legislation to create an exchange.

This is where the glitch comes in: ObamaCare authorizes premium assistance in state-run exchanges (Section 1311) but not federal ones (Section 1321). In other words, states that refuse to create an exchange can block much of ObamaCare’s spending and practically force Congress to reopen the law for revisions.

The Obama administration wants to avoid that legislative debacle, so this summer it proposed an IRS rule to offer premium assistance in all exchanges “whether established under section 1311 or 1321.” On Nov. 17 the IRS will hold a public hearing on that proposal. According to a Treasury Department spokeswoman, the administration is “confident” that offering premium assistance where Congress has not authorized it “is consistent with the intent of the law and our ability to interpret and implement it.”

Such confidence is misplaced. The text of the law is perfectly clear. And without congressional authorization, the IRS lacks the power to dispense tax credits or spend money.

In less then 3 more years the US will hit the debt to ratio that Italy has today (119%).
If the super commintee does come up with $3 Trillion it cuts over 10 years...

If not, the US will reach that 119% within just over 2 years.
