President Obama!

Re: Obamanation here today

JP Morgan Chase earnings surge in the fourth quarter to 75 cents per share, citing strength in its consumer businesses.

and yet its down a buck and has thrown financials into a tail spin because revenues were light. Classic example of whats going on everyones squeezing more blood out of the rock, no ones growing revenues.
No ones lending or borrowing money. One of the three keys to recovering the economy is to get the money flowing again. Thus the meeting obama had with the bankers begging them to start lending again despite the fact he imposed restrictions on that lending. Real estate market still down and unemployment still down. The triad that needs to show improvement before we start sticking our chest out and proudly start proclaiming an economic recovery.

OK, so I heard it wrong, but it's still bad for Bama....

President Obama has shattered the budget record for first-year presidents -- spending nearly double what his predecessor did when he came into office and far exceeding the first-year tabs for any other U.S. president in history.

Compared with other presidents' first years in office, Obama is running circles around them.

A celebration is in order. Its the first thing Obama has accomplished as president.

Speaking of JP Morgan and a tight money supply Obama is already looking to take advantage of his socialist warfare against banking and slap an additional tax on them. That should help keep the money supply tight.:happy-very:

Yeah, like forcing them to fix the mess they created.......

Treasury Department says 66,465 borrowers got permanent mortgage modifications through December - twice as many as a month earlier.

How can you seriously believe this when most of the money is stimulus for the economy and a lot of the money loaned to banks is coming back.
Compared to Bush who spent all his money on a war with the wrong enemy, I would say its money well spent. I mean invested.

we would have been better off if the govenment had paid those mortgages off rather then spending all that stimulus money on some bs make work projects.

I think they should have bought them and rented the properties back to the people.

I do like it as far as it shows how Obama is attacking our way of life and trying to make us something that we are not....like vampires do.

Re: Obamanation here today

Pelosi just called the deal with the unions and their tax exemption, "an accomodation".

This brings up a question....A lot of the money to pay for the health plan was going to come from taxing cadillac health plans. Now that a good number of those plans have been "accomodated", now where do they get the money????????

Double tax the remaining cadillac plans? Increase the deficit? I thought I remember Odrama saying he wouldn't pass a health care bill that would increase the deficit.

OH, wait a minute....maybe Michelle planted a money tree in the White House garden.

Moreluck,
I laugh at two two things --first the very short looking people bragging about how the Union saved them for a few years on this Tax.
Just like Republicans never stay in office forever --the same will happen to the Dems--Once this Health care plan is passed it will just be a matter of time until ALL middle class will pay big time for it.
Secondly, Everyone seems reluctant to call Obama a liar --He ran on CHANGE --no more special interests groups or lobbying--hello --Unions are special interests groups --also at the minimum of nine times --Obama told the people if they elected him the Healthcare debate would be televised on c-span ----what a disgrace --certainly someone we can trust !!Where is the change ??????

Re: Obamanation here today

You know, probably within a couple of years, the union will re-negotiate that exemption and it will become a permanent exemption.

Just like when there's a temporary tax, it always becomes a permanent tax.

Moreluck,
You have to look at the "other side" of that coin --The Bush Tax cuts will expire under Obama. The tempory exemption will expire under -----Romney ?? Palin ?? player yet to be named ????
When Major Programs go in --I would agree with you -tough to change --in the area of who pays for what --is always up for grabs:wink2: This additional exemption will cost non union middle class even more ---Fair minded people --union and non --are sick and tired of these filthy back door deals--you wash my hand --I wash yours ---time will tell.

Bush cut taxes on the rich while spending like a drunken sailor. Obama is letting those drunken days go bye bye. Party is over.

So you are okay with a 50% tax increase on the poor?

I heard someone say the other day "the only difference between this administration and the last is that Goldman Sachs moved from the 4th floor of the white house to the fifth."
