As we entered this last downturn, I had a gut feeling we were entering a depression. The last thing the government is going to do is recognize that fact! Honestly, it is understandable. People would panic and horde their money. This is just one indicator, but arguably the most important indicator. We will continue in this depression until major changes are made to bolster business. Simple as that. In November we will get the government we deserve.

Why aren't we coming out of this depression? One reason: There is no incentive to get a job with government handouts - The welfare and unemployment benefit charts are just as bad.

Oil (Transportation) & housing are 2 of the biggest drivers of our economy.

image019.jpg

This is the major reason we have not been able to move ahead in the last 3 + years.
No private sector experience. The absolute worst ratio in modern history!!

Come November we will get the government we deserve.

Re: Obamanomics

Always finding new ways to piss away money, especially when it comes to pandering to his base....and separating people by color!
WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama is creating a new office to bolster education of African-American students.

The White House says the office will coordinate the work of communities and federal agencies to ensure that African-American youngsters are better prepared for high school, college and careers.

Obama is announcing his election-year initiative Wednesday night in a speech to the civil rights group the National Urban League as he seeks to rally black voters.

What a racist.
A special office just to prepare one group to study more.
What happened to an equal education for all ?

Re: Obamanation here today

This was a "show off" moment for the "O". He hasn't thought 'zip' about Israel since he was elected, but because Romney will be there tomorrow, he stages this signing.

"The signing ceremony, a relatively uncommon event in the Obama White House...." I'm sure Netanyahu will see through his stunt and maybe he & Mitt will have a good laugh about it.

LifeNews:
A federal court issued an order Friday that halts enforcement of the Obama administration’s abortion pill mandate against a Colorado family-owned business while an Alliance Defending Freedom lawsuit challenging the mandate continues in court.

The mandate has generated massive opposition from pro-life groups because it forces employers, regardless of their religious or moral convictions, to provide insurance coverage for abortion-inducing drugs, sterilization, and contraception under threat of heavy penalties.

Alliance Defending Freedom attorneys obtained the first-ever order against the mandate on behalf of Hercules Industries and the Catholic family that owns it. The administration opposed the order, arguing, contrary to the U.S. Constitution, that people of faith forfeit their religious liberty once they engage in business.

In his order, Senior Judge John L. Kane of the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado said that the government’s arguments “are countered, and indeed outweighed, by the public interest in the free exercise of religion. As the Tenth Circuit has noted, ‘there is a strong public interest in the free exercise of religion even where that interest may conflict with [another statutory scheme]….’ Accordingly, the public interest favors entry of an injunction in this case.”

Bowman said Judge Kane explained that the government’s “harm pales in comparison to the possible infringement upon Plaintiffs’ constitutional and statutory rights.”

Yes, it fails to account for the reduction of fatalities from the levels of the gwb policy, which is the same as the wmr policy, if he could mange to state it clearly.

What do you prefer, your kids and my kids with boots on the ground all over Hell, or a missile strike from 10k'?

Re: Obamanomics

Then again, does anyone actually believe Obama when he says he wants to pay down the debt?

Via Washington Examiner:
President Obama’s budget director predicted a $1.2 trillion budget deficit for 2012 today, which prompted one senator to call for the president to pull down a Obama campaign ad that promises to “pay down the debt.”

“For 2012, the deficit is now projected to be $1.211 trillion, $116 billion lower than the $1.327 trillion deficit projected in February,” Jeff Zients, director of the Office of Management and Budget, wrote on the White House blog. “This reflects lower-than-expected spending, partially offset by lower-than-expected receipts.”
His projection comes just days after Obama released a campaign advertisement that proposes “asking the wealthy to pay a little more so that we can pay down our debt in a balanced way.”

Zients alluded to the tax increase proposal when he said that “Congress can and must enact a comprehensive and balanced deficit reduction package, along the lines of the President’s Budget” — a budget unanimously rejected by the House and the Senate.
