Re: Obamanomics

Smells fishy

Via WSJ:
The U.S. Labor Department on Monday said it hasn’t made a decision yet on whether to delay Friday’s October jobs report, the final reading on the labor market before next week’s federal elections.

A Labor official said the agency will assess the schedule for all its data releases this week when the “weather emergency” is over.

Labor is scheduled to release the employment report on Friday, third quarter employment costs on Wednesday and weekly jobless claims on Thursday.

It doesnt matter...he would need great numbers to show, so no news is even bad news for him.

Not CANADA either.

I'm certain Canada will be lending a huge hand in rescue and re-building, again.

Sorry, for the high death toll already sofar, and hoping it doesn't get much worse.
Be safe, and for those that can no longer connect to the net - I'm looking forward to hearing from you , again, as soon as things are possible, again !
I'll be thinking of all of you in the NE !

Re: Obamabastic !!

What a leader.
WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama’s iPod could pass for a voter outreach tool.

Interviewed Monday on Cincinnati radio station WIZF, Obama ran through his musical tastes, an eclectic and all-encompassing list of artists and tracks that reflect the varied coalition of voters he is seeking to attract.
Asked what was on the “presidential iPod,” Obama replied that he had “a pretty good mix.”

“I’ve got old school – Stevie Wonder, James Brown. I’ve got Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan,” he said.
There are also plenty of tracks that young voters might have downloaded to their own collections.

“And then I’ve got everything from Jay-Z, to Eminem, to the Fugees, to you name it. There’s probably not a group that you play that I don’t have on my iPod,” Obama told the station’s E.J. Greig.

No wonder he hasn't halved the deficit or turned the economy around. Put down the damn Ipod, Barry!

That's a little ridiculous. Consider the trending folks around here point to, shouldn't Obama want to get the election done now? Then again, if they started floating it and republicans threw a fit, that would probably be a turn off for independents. Interesting...

Outstanding post.
It did my heart great to search out those that were over me years ago.
Look at the difference in the list between the two.

These I knew (a little) , served under and met each one.

The military takes its orders from the civilian electorate. Always.

A lot of it comes down to the whole gays in the military thing. A lot of those old timers were very much against it and probably hope Romney will roll it back, although I personally doubt he would do that.

To both BBSAM and Jones in case you wonder about my heart.

We had gays in the US Army 1974 to 1996 when I served when, most of that time, it was not allowed.

I was never one of those that harassed.

I was in charge or The NCOIC (Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge) over them, along with all my
other soldiers.

I treated them the same as others. I respected them as soldiers, and humans.

You have never seen me post about this (homosexulaity).

This I will say. To me sin against the Torah / Commandments is sin.

Adultery, Fornication, Covetness, Blasphemy, Murder etc are sins, along with homosexuality.

My Faith and heart says all have sinned, including me. I stand guilty as others.

We need to repent and accept the sacrifice for our sins, the Lamb of G_d, for forgivness.

So how can I judge, treat those who are caught up differently than others, as I was and still battle
daily, these human vices, when I have done some myself?

I am old school and know that this particular path is very hard in an all male combat unit.

One would be shunned by many, years ago and catch grief.

It is 2012 and 1996 was the last of my first hand exposure.

But I always treated all the same as much as I could with my own human flaws.

I have shared.

I have not nor do I now question your heart, Texan. My post was far broader. While I have great admiration for the military and its members, I will never shrink from seeing its flaws. From day one the military has taken its lead from the civilian electorate and I shudder to think what this nation would be if the inverse were true.

I agree. I see the broader post I hope.
This Country does not need a rouge Patton.
The Country was set up to keep those in charge of the military in check.
Even though I agree with Patton's thinking at the time, It does not make me correct
nor in compliance with with was put in place since 1776 sir. Civilan check and balance.

As Samuel Adamss wrote in 1768, "Even when there is a necessity of the military power, within a land, a wise
and prudent people will always have a watchful and jealous eye over it"
