i dont think anyone knows everything.
Does this mean you believe you know much about your innermost self with the understanding that more about yourself is possible to learn because you don’t think anyone knows everything about themselves?

Is this an accurate understanding of what you mean?

Jesus is the Keeper of Israel. This is His name and His work. God not only created the world but also keeps and upholds it. Jesus is not content with merely giving the blessing of Pentecost. He will also maintain it every moment. The Holy Spirit is not a power that in any sense is subordinate to us, entrusted to us, or to be used by us. He is an energizing power that is over and above us, carrying forward His work from moment to moment. Our right place and our proper attitude must always be that of the deepest dependence in our own nothingness and powerlessness. Our chief concern is to let Jesus do His work within us.

My understanding of God prompts me to say that in this Bible quote it is referencing life that is ever lasting, immortality with perfection.

@rickyb,

When you read this what is your take on what it says to you personally?
maybe its a reference to resurrection like when we die but do something good thats memorable, something lives on, or maybe its a reference to not worrying about death which alot of people worry about.

id be interested in hedges or barber or barrigan says about it.

The fear of death defined 2020 to 2023. In our lifetime. Most could be forced to do anything with that fear. No matter how ridiculous.

I appreciate your thoughts.

It is my understanding and belief and I put my faith and trust in that eternal life is meant to begin the moment we believe in Jesus, not a book, and that we can immediately partake in the divine invisible and spiritual reality of our promised future after this part of our journey and start radically loving the poor, the oppressed, the forgotten, and those crying out in need while we are here.

I fail to see the humor.

I believe laughter is good for the spirit so I am glad I could help you this morning.
You posted verses where Jesus said the Scriptures testified of him yet you've repeatedly said the Bible was written by men and you don't have to follow what you disagree with. Ironic.

Seems a bit general.

Any personal viewpoints or thoughts?
What’s general about it? The fear of death caused people to do things they would not normally do. And would normally question. That’s not general that’s just a statement of fact.

They were even told not to sing close down church’s and not to congregate.
Of course, the liquor store stayed open It’s essential you know.

I don’t understand.

Books written by man cannot reference or share experiences, strength and hope in Jesus?

Ok. We see this differently. I retract my previous comment.

Just didn’t seem personal to me.
