@tourists24,

So you know, although you see, I verbally joust with certain individuals about certain religious topics and thoughts I do take my spiritual life very seriously. I see more Pharisees in them than I see Christ.

I admit, sometimes I say confusing things. I do not in any way, mean or think myself to be worthy to even tie the sandals of my Lord Jesus, but I do believe he lives in me spiritually, and I also understand that things he said were very confusing to the established religion of his day such as the Pharisees. I do believe that some of the confusing things I say, are confusing to these individuals on this site because they lean towards the thought and religion of the Pharisees and not religion of a living Christ.

That is between them and God, or in their case between them and the Bible.

I want you aware that my viewpoint of the Bible is this:

I believe the Bible is not an end in itself, but a means to bring men to an intimate and satisfying knowledge of God, that they may enter into Him, that they may delight in His presence, may taste and know the inner sweetness of the very God himself in the core and center of their hearts.

These thoughts of mine have been codified in the written manuscripts that have been accumulated, selected, and decided upon to be used as religious doctrine by previous church leadership, ultimately to end up in the Holy Bibles that we see on the shelves of bookstores and online and itā€™s various iterations.

Religion and religious writings can be and are very useful in my spiritual life. But apart from God, himself in the Holy Spirit moving in through and acting upon all of creation, they might as well be Mad Magazine. The Holy Spirit within is the necessary component, the person who can lead one to understanding, not our intellect or understanding of a book. I suspect their unbelief in the Holy Spiritā€˜s residence in the believer is what hinders them.

Thatā€™s all very nice, but I think the keyword you said these were ā€œyour thoughtsā€. Then you go on to say you donā€™t think you are worthy to tie the sandals of Jesus Christ, who you claim as your Lord and savior. And then you castigate @vantexan as some sort of fundamentalist. When Jesus Christ himself saidā€¦.. ā€œI tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speakā€

Is it fundamentalist to believe Jesus own words if youā€™re a follower of his?

Do you view yourself as a Biblical Fundamentalist ?

When is judgment day?

Would you say your understanding of God is through the lens of the ideology of Christian Realism?

I also agree there will be a judgement day.

Based upon your reply you donā€™t actually know when judgement day is or will be then correct?

Some Christians like to use judgment day like a hammer to scare other people I donā€™t believe it should be used that way, although I do think people should be aware. And I believe reading the Bible and using it as your guide for what you shouldnā€™t do to be judged poorly would be a wise idea.

I believe the Bible says it is appointed unto Man to die and then judgment. So clearly those two things are going to happen to us at some point.

But once again, itā€™s always about you asking questions and never actually giving your real position. I donā€™t have to explain my position very much because my position is in that book. Makes it quite easy for people to understand as opposed to you who just has it in your head and can change it whenever you want. And then also say the Holy Spirit told you something completely opposite of what the Bible says which once again makes whatever religion you are youā€™re very own.

There are 2 judgements. One for believers and another for those who rejected Christ. (Judgement seat of Christ and great white throne judgement)

I understand. Your answer is you donā€™t know when judgement day is, no more than the other guy who canā€™t answer the same question.

I have heard these teachings from various biblical fundamentalist for years.

Do you view yourself as a biblical literalist or fundamentalist if you prefer that term?

Since youā€™re bringing 2 judgments in now, when are these two judgment days?
