The word baptism is from the Greek baptizo which means to immerse.
So what. Baptism is a ritual.
It’s not truly a baptism unless the recipient is Michael Jordan 360 style dunked in a tank of at least 40 gallons of water.

Guess you could call that full immersionIt’s not truly a baptism unless the recipient is Michael Jordan 360 style dunked in a tank of at least 40 gallons of water.
I'm not certain how your second verse encompasses infant baptism. Neither would the musings of David in the Old Testament justify baptizing babies. All examples in the New Testament of Christian conversion involved adults and we are never told to baptize children.Psalm 51:5 Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me.
Romans 5:12 Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned
If you can give verses authorizing baptizing babies then great. No one knows what happens to unbaptized babies. The point is more, baptize babies. Just do it. Christ gives us sacraments to use them. Everyone until the anabaptists did this unquestioningly.
I'm not arguing for infant baptism. Don't believe in that.I'm not certain how your second verse encompasses infant baptism. There are consequences of sin that affect others, but each person is responsible for the sin he commits. I don't believe children are sinful.I'm not arguing for infant baptism. Don't believe in that.
You don't believe in original sin
Which church? If you’re going to put your faith in a church, which one? Its why I always say you have to be careful who you put your trust inSo many people saying “I don’t believe” in here, which is the crux of the issue. WHAT DOES THE CHURCH SAY!

More importantly, as @Integrity will tell you, what does the Bible say?So many people saying “I don’t believe” in here, which is the crux of the issue. WHAT DOES THE CHURCH SAY!
I’m still trying to figure this out. Anglicans use the branch theory and we contend that we are a form of apostolic church just like the Catholics and Orthodox.Which church? the Bible cannot be read without being interpreted through a tradition. Either someone else’s or your own. The video I posted was Dr Jordan B Cooper, a Lutheran, rattling off many reasons why all Christians throughout time baptized infants.More importantly, as @Integrity will tell you, what does the Bible say?
This is what bugs me when people get so hostile about discrepancies of interpretation in the Bible and saying you’ll go to hell over itthe Bible cannot be read without being interpreted through a tradition. "But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men."the Bible cannot be read without being interpreted through a tradition. Either someone else’s or your own. The Bible actually exists as and as a result of Church tradition.the Bible cannot be read without being interpreted through a tradition. Either someone else’s or your own. Correct. God chose to have His word assembled and canonized thru church councils. The Bible actually exists as and as a result of Church tradition.
Just be careful when choosing your church home. No denomination is "the" correct one. Wherever you land just make sure that the most important things are emphasized: leading people to salvation, grow with your church in doing the things that glorify Christ. Reach up toward Him, reach in and let Him into your heart through faith, and then reach outward to help bring others to Christ so they can spread the word and lead others to find Christ alsoI’m still trying to figure this out. Why do you say the purpose of your church should be leading people to salvation?Just be careful when choosing your church home. No denomination is "the" correct one.
