Rittenhouse Trial

I would surmise that an active shooter running AWAY from me is a good thing. Only an idiot, or someone not in their right mind (drugs, alcohol) would attempt to narrow that gap.
The guy who attacked Kyle was released that night from the hospital for a psychiatric stay. The reason he was on the street was because his girlfriend who he lived with had gotten a restraining order for beating her.

The jury does not know that.

Was he trying to put it the fire with his AR? šŸ˜‚
Why do you want to destroy someone who was defending himself? Are you wanting to send a message that you have the right to protest in any way you deem fit, including setting fires and harming others, without any consequences for doing so? If you keep characterizing him as a nazi, a white supremacist, and deserves to die for being such, are you any better than those who hate you for the color of your skin and see you only through that one prism?

As an example: from the footage I've seen of Rosenbaum that night, his behavior absolutely very much reminded me of every tweeker I have ever had the misfortune of knowing.

The skateboarder was trying to stop an active shooter who was running away because the shooter wanted to avoid being forced into a position to kill again.
Except the shooter hadn't killed anybody yet. They attacked him, he ran, they chased, attacked him from different directions, and learned that teenagers who've probably mowed down tens of thousands in fairly realistic video games aren't squeamish about something they've been "trained" for.

Problem for Rittenhouse is whether the court accepts the skateboard as truly a deadly weapon thus justifying his ā€œactive shooterā€ status.
Wisconsin use of force law:
939.48ā€ƒ Self-defense and defense of others.
939.48(1)(1)ā€‚ A person is privileged to threaten or intentionally use force against another for the purpose of preventing or terminating what the person reasonably believes to be an unlawful interference with his or her person by such other person. The actor may intentionally use only such force or threat thereof as the actor reasonably believes is necessary to prevent or terminate the interference. The actor may not intentionally use force which is intended or likely to cause death or great bodily harm unless the actor reasonably believes that such force is necessary to prevent imminent death or great bodily harm to himself or herself.

All the defense has to show is that Kyle reasonably believed that death or great bodily harm was imminent. I think all of the evidence makes that an easy thing to show.

The prosecution messed up by introducing info yesterday.

Free him?! Lock him up and throw away the key. White privilege shouldn't let him walk free after murdering somebody. If someone decides to burn down a bldg I don't have the right to shoot him in the head.

You know He's mixed race and the dudes he killed were white child molester, woman beaters. They weren't there to fight for racial equality. SMH.

Really a dirty move to portray him as a victim by bringing up the hospital stay, knowing the defense couldn't explain it was psychiatric.

If they bring it up again I doubt the judge will still keep the info from the jury.

The kid was asked by the owner of a business who had already had two other businesses burned down to help him guard his last remaining business, a gas station. That's who gave him the gun. Protesters came up and started a fire at the gas station which he tried to put out. They attacked him for it, he fled, they chased, and you know the rest. You keep wanting to attack him for defending himself but seem fine with protesters burning and attacking. Is your hatred of the country that intense?

Not the story that the prosecutor told. He brought a military weapon to a riot looking for a thrill hoping to use it. There was only 2 people killed that night and he killed them. Then ran back to Illinois to hide.

OK, some of the things told that summer were inaccurate according to this. But it glossed over the fact that when he went to extinguish the fire he was attacked. He didn't just shoot someone after "encountering" them. Nor did it mention after the shootings he rendered first aid and attempted to turn himself in to the cops. A very leading article from someone also skirting the truth. There's video evidence of those "encounters."

He shot a 5'3" mental patient in the back and then called his buddy to brag about it.
