Rittenhouse Trial

Sorry, but I don’t care anymore.
I think th only way they convict is if they’re convinced that Rittenhouse really had no reason to be there armed and patrolling the streets in the first place. That’s a pretty hard statement for a lot of people to get on board with.

So what age would jurors say is too young?
Nothing to do with the charges. Sorry

If the prosecutor would let me crack him in the head one time with a skateboard I would agree with him it isn’t a deadly weapon and that Kyle was in the wrong.

Actually, it does.
If someone has no reason to be somewhere, or they shouldn't be there, does that make their shooting of someone who was attacking them while they were there murder?

@Box Ox if you come home and find a guy having a fling with your wife, should he be there? If, in a fit of rage, you attack him but he’s able to get to his gun laying with his discarded clothing and shoots you dead, is it murder?

Not if you were trying to kill him. Do some research on self defense laws.

Rittenhouse wasn't having a fling with anyone's wife. I'm not sure why you think that's a valid comparison.

No. And I don’t condone drunk driving either. I’ve been guilty of it but don’t think I should be murdered for it.

How about if you were holding a gun to someone's head, beating them in the head with a skateboard or had a grip on their rifle after you'd told them twice that night that you'd kill them if you caught them alone? Would it be murder if you were shot and killed in those cases?

It’s not a valid comparison. It’s a situation that follows the formula that you outlined.

Yeah, no.
