Inordinately Right
That's what has to happen sometimes though.I don't want people who aren't trained, aren't experienced, running around with guns meeting out justice.

Wouldn't have happened if they kept their distance and called the police. There are reasons why we have laws against vigilantismThey had no intention of meeting out justice or killing anyone.
Their intent was to detain and pass along to authorities a very obviously guilty man.
Then that man tried to kill them.
Everything was legal and fine.
They DID keep their distance.Wouldn't have happened if they kept their distance and called the police. There are reasons why we have laws against vigilantism
Sure, I see a home invasion at my neighbors I grab my gun and try to stop it. I don't spot a guy running down the street, think he looks like a guy that I saw on a video who broke into a property down the street, decide to chase him down and pull a gun on him. I call the cops and tell them my suspicion, offer to keep the guy in sight until they arrive. There's an active neighborhood watch, then there's vigilantism. That's what has to happen sometimes though.
Saw the video. They pulled up and came at Arbery with a gun. There's no way of knowing exactly what he was thinking. He may have thought he was fighting for his life against thugs with bad intentions. We'll never know. They DID keep their distance.
Watch the video. They were VERY distant. On purpose.
Arbery closed the distance. Arbery created the confrontation. Arbery tried to kill them.
They were stopped. Arbery was running. They stayed still. Arbery closed the distance and approached them. Every single foot of distance between them was closed by Arbery.Saw the video. They pulled up and came at Arbery with a gun. There's no way of knowing exactly what he was thinking. He may have thought he was fighting for his life against thugs with bad intentions. We'll never know.
Wasn't he grasping at the gun when he was shot? How close is that? They didn't shoot until HE wrestled them. They didn't shoot him from far. They didn't shoot him from close. They didn't shoot him on first contact.
There is nothing aggressive or vigilante about it.
We know exactly what he was thinking. He was running from his own crimes and knew they were trying to stop him. So he tried to kill them.Saw the video. They pulled up and came at Arbery with a gun. They shot him AFTER first contact, which was initiated by arbery, and when he almost had control of the weapon.Wasn't he grasping at the gun when he was shot? How close is that?
And there you go. YOU know what people are thinking, know what crimes they've committed, and are going to do something about it. Vigilante. We know exactly what he was thinking. He was running from his own crimes and knew they were trying to stop him. So he tried to kill them.
Yes, we do know. And you know. You just don't want to admit it.And there you go. YOU know what people are thinking, know what crimes they've committed, and are going to do something about it. Vigilante.
So let's get this straight, he grasped at the gun, then the shooter backed up some distance then opened fire. Uh-huh. That'll go over well in court. They shot him AFTER first contact, which was initiated by arbery, and when he almost had control of the weapon.
They were very irresponsible by not shooting him sooner. But they were very patient and non-aggressive with him.
I know you've got a gun and are itching to shoot someone. You probably wish it had been you who had shot Arbery.Yes, we do know. And you know. You just don't want to admit it.
Yes, because he was still engaged in the fight, and the threat was still lethal. He just tried to kill them and was still fighting. This is not hard.So let's get this straight, he grasped at the gun, then the shooter backed up some distance then opened fire. Uh-huh. That'll go over well in court.
No, actually, I only carry in church and other mass gatherings, because stopping a mass shooter is the only place that self-defense is reliably recognized.I know you've got a gun and are itching to shoot someone. You probably wish it had been you who had shot Arbery.
According to you the shooter had some distance between him and an unarmed man when he shot him. "I didn't like the way he was looking at me your honor."Yes, because he was still engaged in the fight, and the threat was still lethal. He just tried to kill them and was still fighting. This is not hard.
Yes, when the man is still engaged in teh fight after trying to kill you, establishing distance and getting a clean shot is not only defensible, it's the best course of action.According to you the shooter had some distance between him and an unarmed man when he shot him. "I didn't like the way he was looking at me your honor."
That's because I know what's in your mind and it's my right to stop you no matter what! No, actually, I only carry in church and other mass gatherings, because stopping a mass shooter is the only place that self-defense is reliably recognized.
I don't want to get lynched by liberals like these guys are. So, I'm never going to shoot an assailant, and especially never a black assailant.
People like you will hang me for nothing.
If you do, I'll wait for the sheriff politely and peacefully, and then press charges for knowingly falsifying a report. That's because I know what's in your mind and it's my right to stop you no matter what!
