Strike Vote

From what I could hear, so far, lots of improvements. Best of it was Technology.
Liked the transfers for part timers, improvements for our military members and didn’t he say something about the inward facing cameras??? Also the company is finally upgrading their payroll system and if they screw up your paycheck and they don’t fix it in 2 weeks you get a weeks worth of penalty pay…did I hear that right???

We tried that in 2018.

Couldn't have made it any easier.

Are the loud mouth nobody's.... "afraid" to be confronted in person ?
I’m all for trying a new strategy, but the rubber is going to meet the road when it comes time to vote on the contract and I don’t think we’ll be doing that in person.

It’s a foreign concept to me to not take a moment and do the responsible thing and vote for something as important as your working conditions for the next five years.

Maybe this will engage people who knows…

I love my job. Don't you?
Why are we doing an in person strike vote? Especially with such short notice. This seems very uncoordinated to me.

I thought the goal was to get more participation this time.

I don't know. Maybe I'm just not seeing the big picture here.
I don’t understand why we aren’t doing an over the phone or internet vote. I get wanting an in person turn out but how many people are going to realistically drive to the union hall to vote? You’ve got people that it would entail an 1.5 hour or longer round trip just to vote? I don’t see that working at all especially when it’s done on a Sunday.

Now if the reports I’ve read of the teamsters coming to ups to get the votes then that will work and that would be the most intelligent way to go. Wait outside the gates and catch everyone from preload, drivers, twilight and anyone in between. These should be staffed by the union hall. Not just business agents but everyone who works at the hall and makes their living off of our backs.

For 688 it’s a vote at the hall 9-5 sun and Monday. There’s members 4 hours away. Would literally be an entire day of driving to go vote. I get I’m from a small center but I really doubt a single person makes the trip to vote from my center.

Thanks for verbalizing.... what the company is hoping for.

The Teamsters are hoping, the UPS members aren't going to be a bunch of pusillanimous this time.
