But they should be able to dispatch drivers where reasonable amount of work say like 9 hours?

Nope but that doesn’t mean people just have to bend over and accept it forever either.

Also there are parts of the country they can’t find anyone that wants to drive. Some of that is they don’t make enough unless they work 12 hours a day. But many are also forgoing driving because they don’t like the time requirements of the job.

If you can’t fill jobs because of the requirements of the job. Well then something has to give.

But to ups a 9hour “planned” day is really 10.8. It’s always a fight with them. Then if you are making Bonus and go on the 9.5 list suddenly your allowance changes and you’re an hour over…ask me how I know this.

I just always find it funny when people bitch about the younger generation not wanting to spend their life in an ups truck.

I 100% understand the job I took. But I also get that if no one wants to take the open jobs the employer must do something to make that job more attractive.

The entire point of unions in the first place was so the employee didn’t just have to bend over and take whatever under the premises of well that’s the job.
