Three words only.I’m going to do it again as long as I have my BA’s blessing to reach out what’s left. Guess it’s a cluster everywhere. Brace yourself ladies and gents. We’ll get through this together!

We got the entitlement generation to deal with and unlike back then there were a ton of retirees and folks part of the generation that saw firsthand the benefits of unions. Most have sadly passed. It’s going to be a fight, but we’ll get through it as long as we have faith.Lots.of solidarity and lots of public support
Solidarity for life.Three words only.
And it was also very clear what we were trying to accomplish, more full-time jobs, and protecting our retirement. It’s much easier to rally around a couple of solid points. So far in this negotiation, I’m not certain what the company is or is not agreeing to.Lots.of solidarity and lots of public support
Not sure how many days there are until August 1, but if a Strike vote is done so frequently, and the response is always Yes…doesn’t it actually lose any usage that may have been intended?
It’s predictable and the outcome is predictable. What people REALLY choose do do when they’re faced with the REAL decision May be different.
So, a Strike Vote is part of the process. Maybe the IBT forgot that and are now rushing to “ check that box”?
I honestly do not know why they waited so long
O’Brien has said we’re not going past August 1, no exceptions
How about during one of all the managers daily 25 smoke breaks ???They should do it during the PCM. LOL
We were also a private company back in the day…now we have shareholders who aren’t exclusively management….that is a big difference compared to 1997.We got the entitlement generation to deal with and unlike back then there were a ton of retirees and folks part of the generation that saw firsthand the benefits of unions. Most have sadly passed. It’s going to be a fight, but we’ll get through it as long as we have faith.
Good ideaHow about during one of all the managers daily 25 smoke breaks ???
Yes…get them really puffing a fit out at the smoking shack.Good idea
Sure sounds like that's the message to me. From multiple different sources through out the year.No he didn't.

I agree about FZ!I wouldn't believe a word Zuckerman says. And O'Brien, well he said he wouldn't negotiate past August 1st.
O'Brien wants an agreement before August 1st. Let's say he gets a handshake agreement from UPS before August 1st. How long will it take to print the contract, mail it and have us vote on it?
He never said what he would, or would not do, if he reached an agreement with the Company that he is satisfied with before August 1st, and then we turned it down at a later date.
He only said that he will not negotiate past August 1st. Meaning that if UPS does not agree to a contract, he will call a strike. If they agree to a contract and we turn it down, I guarantee you that it will not be an immediate strike.
Is anybody aware of what our line in the sand is in regards to making an agreement? Is it PVDs, is it 22.4, is it part time pay? Is it air conditioning in the trucks? Is it forced six days? Is it reduction of hours? Is it 9.5 language. Is it no subcontracting in feeders? Is it better pensions? Is it less progression time? Is it more full-time jobs? Is it full-time raises? Is it production standards and harassment?Actually, I don't think O'Brien would know what to do if he agreed to a contract and we voted it down.

Shouldn’t be too tough , each business agent stands outside while shifts come and go , get guys to sign , and done . Give these lazy mother friend ers a number to call or site to do it on and they’ll toss it and forget prob
Ups will never know the final number ( nor will the rank and file)Agreed, as long as it’s an overwhelming yes. If it’s close you lose leverage.
