Terminated for dishonesty

Nah
The new diad has a menu where you can scan a package as misloaded on your truck. It only sends it to the center.

You are not actually sheeting the package only scanning it, so that they can see the tracking number at the center.

His first post makes it look like that’s all he did later on he does say that he sheeted them as missed and threw them on the belt
This is where the confusion came in
His first post made me think he sheeted them as missed anyway after being told not to. Which he later confirmed.

He did not sheet them until the end of the day only used the new function in the diad that sends it to the center level. The customer cannot see this.

Sorry for lashing out. I'm pissed off about all the confusion in this thread when the original poster was refreshingly clear for a change.
His first post did not clarify that’s where the confusion came. He did later on say he sheeted them at the end of the day.

And I do agree that is not falsifying records or dishonesty. It is failure to follow instruction.

The result is the same obviously here he’s gonna lose money. If he’s in the central, he’s probably fired under 17i which basically tells them you can be taking out of service for just about anything unfortunately.

I can understand his logic. The center may get back to him before he gets back to the building, so he can still deliver it.

My building, ground drivers were instructed to deliver if they didn't hear back. Air drivers were instructed to sheet as missed if they didn't hear back.

Yep ultimately it’s piss Poor training and vague instructions now because we are supposed to be robots but when I was trained, I was told if if you have a doubt always take care of the customer those days are long gone.

Confusing or conflicting instructions are why you should check with management to see what they really want you to do. Often that "no missed" will go away but let management make that decision.

With the advent of these tablets management no longer stays in the building they go home and watch it on their little screen. Sometimes they are feeding their kids or watching porn hub and do not call or answer your messages at all. I certainly hope Carol is watching this.

Most centers could run with probably half the on roads or less, and maybe just a part-time on road and one of Center Manager for a building with multiple centers. Sorry management team I’m just being honest.
The on road sups get buried with an immense about of paperwork and are barely able to spend much time managing drivers. They need to streamline the red tape more than anything but that goes against the UPS micromanage mindset.
