Brown Cafe was obviously where most of their attention was focused. Should it be where most of their daughter's attention also be focused?
No idea I don’t really know anything about those other sites maybe they were shut down on purpose really doesn’t tell you anything like that the side I went to was still up but no one was posting anymore and all the messages were archived

There's probably only chump change in it because there are many other sites that are much more frequented to make a $ off an Ad view. There's no emotional attachment here for Cheryl's daughter. It's just a "thing" that needs attention among many other more important things that need attention...

I'd advise her to focus on her own life and forget some low value website. Her Mom probably had things with a lot of sentimental value. This website probably isn't one of them...
Then why did she keep it running so long? I'm sure they didn't need the revenue.

One of Cheryl's comments was he got sick and died so fast. She didn't know how to handle any of his business dealings..so I'm guessing Jessica has to figure it all out. By herself..I think she should do whatever she wants..if its a headache she doesn't want. She's had offers..better than letting it crash.

My best guess would be the connections that she made with people through the years and the thought that members were relying on her to keep it going. There is simply not enough traffic on BC to make any real $$.

If any money was made, it may have been enough for an occasional meal somewhere.

If you knew how AdSense Accounts / Display Ads (which are what you see when you log on) work, you'd realize that you need tens of thousands of Members logging on (not remaining logged on) to make a few bucks.

Doesn't matter to me; but to her Daughter I doubt if the emotional attachment is there...

I would think the fact that Tony was a former UPS manager and some of the stories that he would tell her about the "real" UPS fueled her desire to give the hourlies a voice.
It wasn't created just for "hourlies to have a voice". Some have tried to turn it into a Union-represented-only site, but that was never the intent. She explained why she created somewhere years ago. I don't know where that story resides now.

Looks like it could be made profitable. There would have to be changes, though... Some good, some bad. Knowing this bunch, however, they would crap their diapers, scream & kick for more than a year.

Cheryl’s father was a ‘Brown Stock’ manager. He got Tony his job. The money (lots) came from Cheryl’s dad.
You were banned from this site multiple times by the owners, then when they die you come back here and put "founding member" as the tag under your name.

Why don't you go crawl back in your hole.

A strike would be unavoidable.

It eventually became an “Union dominated site” because most of our management members were too scared to participate, even to this day.

Back in the day T Net was the place to go if you wanted to argue Union business. When that crashed most of the true believers signed on B/C.
