I've had an antique table vise I finally need to use but I have nowhere I can permanently bolt it down to. So I designed a mobile base system for it the other day and just built it using some scrap wood. It cost me the price of a few nuts and bolts. From paper to actualization, it's beautiful.

I'm pretty lucky, I have a used tool shop close by. The owner buys estate tools. I got myself an american made vise, a good medium size with swivel base, for what harbor freight is selling theirs for.

And say what you will about Ryobi and/or harbor freight tools, each have some unbeatable tools. My ryobi impact driver has been going for years of regular use, almost abuse, really. My ryobi battery powered sawzall didn't hold up very long. I replaced it with an 11 amp plug in harbor freight sawzall, so far so good.

Can't believe I haven't seen this thread before, I got lots of goodies to share.

Black and decker owns them and since buying them they’re similar quality
