I had my Dewalt 735x planer delivered today. It’s a beast, the finish on the board is so smooth it doesn’t look like it needs sanding. It threw chips out about twenty feet, my golf cart suffered. I’ll have to rig up a hose and container before I use it again.

Watcha making with it? I haven't had time to pull mine out yet.
I decided to start making stuff to have something to do in retirement. I started out making boxes, now I have just about everything I need to make furniture. I'm ready to start making some end-grain cutting boards and then start some furniture. I have some small tables and an entertainment center in mind for the future.

With the cost of wood that sounds like an expensive hobby.
