Was the 9.5 change a part of the rider that was forced through unilaterally?

The whole 9.5 language got ratified in some backroom concession deal after members overwhelmingly signed up to be on the list.

Every time UPS complains about being hamstrung due to contract language, the IBT willingly steps in and helps them out.

I did not like that either. The problem was that article gave the IBT and Company the power to change it at any time during the contract. I loved that list 80% of the drivers signed up right away.

So your voting no to keep weekend work the same for RPCD's and the company will still continue to use current the two tier drivers that already exist even though they make less than a 22.4.

Seriously what are you expecting to gain from a no vote that is better that your current economic package?

I expect the union to not give the company the biggest transfer of power EVER. I want 22.4 the MOTHERLOAD of bad ideas and the people pushing it to be burned at the stake.

I have to say that was a colorful literary piece and entertaining to read. You point is taken.

Show me language that makes it better.

I can show you non-existent language that says it is not.
That quote was for technology and discipline. That language got better and it is indisputable. If you make a claim it’s not then YOU need to prove it first. I already know my answers. I’m waiting to see if you know what your talking about.

AND AGAIN... Striking out employee and replacing it with driver does not make it better language.

Yes it does. Who the hell are you listening to for your information. Employee is everyone. Driver is only drivers. The intent of the language has always been about drivers and GPS. Do hub workers have GPS on them? Any kind of discipline you are worried about in the hub must be observed. There is also language in that Article regarding the companies BS tactics where they used to terminate members for so called dishonesty (like not wearing a seat belt) is now clearly defined as methods violations and must follow progressive discipline. These are way better. Pick your battles please.
