Who the hell are you listening to for your information

I form my own opinions based on my own interpretation.

The intent of the language has always been about drivers

You have zero clue what intentions UPS has with the language change. If blanket employee protections do not exist, expect UPS to exploit it.

You need to step out of your self-centered world and realize that just because language is for your own betterment, it does not mean everyone else shares your enthusiasm for the change.

You are completely clueles! Obviously you are not a steward or a union official. Go print out what I wrote and ask one of them instead of living in your make believe world. Wow! How do you not get that.

Are you really this :censored2:ing dense?

You state..

Any kind of discipline you are worried about in the hub must be observed.

Well guess what? That used to be covered under "employees" now it is only drivers.

Can you not read between the lines or does everything have to be in Reader's Digest font for you.

I have to say that was a colorful literary piece and entertaining to read. You point is taken.

I agree it was on the hyperbolic side but consider what 22.4 does and could do.

1. This is great for new hires. Won't have to wait years at the bottom working 2 jobs and enduring will get a decent wage compared to what's out there. Meanwhile people that paid their dues and did there time who wouldn't touch 22.4 under normal circumstances will now have to give up everything they waited for because the company now has the power to pay someone less for the same work. How bout language stating that 22.4 people can be used all DOT qualified drivers before ratification shall be entitled to any driving work. That at least be some kind of a check on preventing abuse. How about company seniority comes before 22.4 people. How about anyone signing up for 22.4 can keep their current job while combining it with driving. After all this is being sold as a combo This would at least limit the potential to full timers losing hours.

This 22.4 stuff could take away OT from everybody. It can make it easy to for company to settle scores with high seniority part timers by saying I dont like that guy let's take his job and make it a 22.4. He can go back to the sort aisle or load wall. I dont like that driver hes only gonna get 8 hours. I could go on but I think I've made my point.

22.4 must die.

Do hub workers have GPS on them?
Yes, they do in increasing numbers.

There is an Avenue, but you only have 9.5 while covering any route that you have already filed on, so you have to be over on each route you cover before you have that protection.....but 22.4's will have NONE.
Dude what are you smoking? That is bogus information. You do not have to do that.
They merely need to be opt’d on the 9.5 list. At that point any route they cover all week or bid all week covers them.
I’ve been covering since I became full time. I’ve filed and been paid everyway possible from 9.5 cover driving.

You take everything your steward says as gospel?

My god, you are a sheep AND a coward.

Like I told you it has to be observed. Why can you not get it through your thick skulls! There are too many variables like malfunctions, other loaders using the scanner and bad labels/system flips . You guys are the chicken littles of UPS. Take it from someone that has actually dealt with it instead of your paranoia scare tactics.

I have shown you where it has been stricken from article 6.

Now it is up to you to go ahead and show us all where it is included back in.

wide load

Starting wage is a waste of time.
So your voting no to keep weekend work the same for RPCD's and the company will still continue to use current the two tier drivers that already exist even though they make less than a 22.4.

Seriously what are you expecting to gain from a no vote that is better that your current economic package?
For Hoffa and Taylor to poop a little.

Congratulations you noticed a line through a word and completely miss interpreted the contract language. Now the vote no clown car has arrived to pass out emoji charms to celebrate your achievement!

If you are implying that you are a steward, I am going to apologize on your behalf to all of the employees you represent.
I don’t know where your from but here Hub EMPLOYEES dont get discipline when a manager tries to use technology for discipline. It has to be observed, So actually I am sorry for you being too weak to defend yourself or your members. Don’t hate

I did not like that either. The problem was that article gave the IBT and Company the power to change it at any time during the contract. I loved that list 80% of the drivers signed up right away.
They have the ability to change the 22.4 ratio in the proposed contract. You think they won't change that too?
