We have a 75-80% (or more) turn out in our building and have since the last two cbas were offered.

Save your breath for something you can prove. I'm sure itll be quiet in the lagoon for a long time with your mouth shut.

I think a lot of people think what's in front of them is how it is. Hard for them to picture that there's a lot of people that aren't seeing it the same. On this contract there are many locals pushing no. Many others that don't trust their local.

You're right they should have took some time like maybe 6 months to negotiate over the company's first offer. Oh wait they did!

The union didn't take the company's first offer. The company made proposals as did the Union. They then negotiated between each other to come up with a contract.

Is it a great contract? I don't think so but it's certainly not the first offer. So for the love of Jim Beam will you people stop comparing it to buying a car at sticker price!

We had a local Sunday and our union is telling us to vote no.

Last night, Union Representatives where passing flyers to newbies, avoiding seniority people. Fortunately, I received one but not with a good eye. Flyer saying part time benefits (only) how great it was but wages doesnt apply for Sorters and Pre-loaders. Everyone gets 3 + dollars. Old existing Part timers .70 miserable cents. Steward encouraging to vote Yes. This is a slap on the face for Old Existing Part timers. Vote NO, fix that ty contract.

Equal match at lest $3 plus for existing part timers 5 years + (Starting)

22.4 convo No way. Being a driver + work in the hub. For a FT job? Thats ridiculous for existent Part timers. Eliminate that .

No reprisals by Management or harassment for Part timers for filing grievances. (Exist, trust me)

Enforced 3 1/2 hours. Its not being done, because Management is unloading trucks, sending home people. They said they dont have lot of loads. (Excuses).

My building we have had a lot of different groups passing out information.

We've had the World Socialist Party a few times handing out information asking us to Strike with every company across the country.

We've had a lot of members that are against this contract handing out information. Like the 10 reasons to vote NO.

My local has been outside my building a few times also. Haven't seen them dodge anyone but they are recommending a YES vote. I hung outside with them talking to Stewards to see how they were answer question.

What's interesting is 90% of the Stewards are voting NO. I saw a few of them at the contract meeting asking questions of Andy M.

That's complicated to answer. much the same as with you. we only have a couple stewards saying to vote yes (we have a lot in our building). So as to avoid mentioning names or insulting people I'll pm you later.
The socialist thing I think is a group of college students that are against corporate greed. they seem to be very interested in our situation. from what I understand they do have a good understanding of the facts. They're asking people the right questions (two tier used to break unions, etc.). Had people tell me they wanted to interview them.
