I’m selling awareness. If you don’t want it don’t buy it.
The union didn’t even address the oversize overweight stuff. Everything is getting larger, and heavier, and there is zero improvement in this contract. It’s time for liftgates on every car, or the union should have created a new position that involves 2 people on a car in every center that do nothing but deliver the huge stuff. Why the union would turn their backs on my safety, and fellow employees safety is beyond me. I was lied to. The union told me that they were going to do something like this, in the new contract. For this reason alone, i am a no vote.

Agree with all you said. It's not just a safety issue but a serious production killer as well. I thought the company was going to implement this for that reason.

If the company and the contract are so bad why don’t you all go work somewhere else making $36hr? What’s keeping you here?
You do understand why we vote? If you like the contract vote yes. Don’t come across with you smug comment, and throw the $36 an hour in my face. Do you think the wife of a rich guy, that buys her everything she wants, has the right to beat her? The $36 doesn’t justify the company treating us like crap, and if we don’t like this contract, we have the right to vote no. If this contract goes through as is, this will be the beginning of the end. This is the weakest contract i have seen in 29 years.

Equal match at lest $3 plus for existing part timers 5 years + (Starting)

22.4 convo No way. Being a driver + work in the hub. For a FT job? Thats ridiculous for existent Part timers. Eliminate that :censored2:.

No reprisals by Management or harassment for Part timers for filing grievances. (Exist, trust me)

Enforced 3 1/2 hours. Its not being done, because Management is unloading trucks, sending home people. They said they dont have lot of loads. (Excuses).

EXISTING PART TIMERS VOTE NO
THIS CONTRACT DOESNT BENEFIT US IN NOTHING.
They need to know why and who voted otherwise they will fix dumb crap and take more from us.

Why even have contracts to vote on and a union if we are all supposed to just sit down, shut up and take whatever the company gives us?
I know employees that have said, if this contract passes, they are not going to pay Union dues. You know what? I don’t blame them. If this is the best the union can do, they don’t deserve to be paid. Yea, i know a bunch of people probably disagree with this tactic, but i certainly understand why someone would be driven to do this.

Especially part timers.

Call in for Teamster help. If the oms gets 10-20 calls a day and they have to send drivers from town to town and dont get done i guess theyve done it to themselves.

Mmm, Mombasa!
This is what happens when every area is drastically different than the other. You're bound to have push back because it will effect everyone differently. Look at the last contract with healthcare.

Yes if everyone was like the west then maybe they would see it your way but that's not how it is.

People WILL be layed off on Mondays
People WILL lose their OT
People WILL lose PT driving jobs (EAM, Air,Shuttle)

It will happen somewhere.
I would assume it would depend on center to center. Some from reading treat their employees very well from driver to part timer, others treat driver and loader alike as if they are on a 1920s prison farm chaingang. Also with management running around like a chicken without a head making decisions by the seat of their pants. The latter would be more likely to vote no.
