It made perfect sense.

It's also readily apparent she was reading off a teleprompter and was categorically full of :censored2:.

But hey, at least she waited until the end to talk down to the members instead of in her intro like our Director so often does.
Telaprompter or not she had facts let's see Tyler's response

She is right about local reps vote them out and get new ones. We have that problem here .

First off, that lady doesn’t know her ass from her elbow. TCD’s get better pay, pension, health and 9.5 protections. 224’s don’t. Look, some locals are trying to get “noticed” by the IBT (example @Tony Q). They are so worried about UPS going under that UPS gave every PT sup a $3 and hour raise. I cannot believe the state of some of these unions. So elected officials would crumble pulling a route.

How I long for the days when we only had to put up with doublespeak and condescension from management. Now we get to hear it from those who are there to represent us.

And in regards to her statement rebutting the 6 months, 30% on the dollar thing. You talk tough, Local blah blah blah would never put up with that. That is the experience at the majority of the locals. They settle, taking the path of least resistance. Just like you did with this contract negotiations. Not a whole lot the employee can do in the moment when their union rep bails on them. Have to try and vote them out at the next election is their only recourse at that point, which certainly should happen to all who push this TA, including her!!

The Tyler kid has heart and should stick to his local union and build out from there. He took on a general explanation for the nation and that is something different between region and even locals. He has no clue how everything works in its entirety. He bailed out on pension in the second video and has no idea how a cover driver works. The more he posts the more obvious it will be.
Probably because his local doesn’t have cover drivers and didn’t sellout their members yet. Just because there are cover drivers in some locals doesn’t mean we should have a sellout, concessionary master contract.

When the votes are tallied and this contract doesn’t pass, we can thank Tyler for how grassroots social media works. Fat, out of touch Union big wigs might have more knowledge on a few details but they completely missed the target. They failed and Tyler looks to have pulled off a David vs Goliath type upset.

I really wish the IBT hadn't negotiated a pay increase for pt. Let the market set the rate...it's going to be way more than 13 to start. As I've said before, this peak is going to be record setting bad. Everybody has better hiring opportunities this year.

It's a joke to have this job pay what it does. To comment in that video that pay only went up two dollars and now it goes up four...so you admit your pay raise looks big only compared to the last raise! Did you even listen to yourself? It's been piss poor pay and with the new raise it is still piss poor pay. But that's ok...UPS will figure that out this Christmas.

She is so dumb she forgets part timers that have yet to work a day don’t vote and how it’s completely not right for a brand new hire to make what a 3 year person does. The vote yes crowd says she is smart? And let’s call all of you skilled but not pay you for it. We aren’t stupid, the “huge starting wage increase” doesn’t help most of us.

Starting wage is a waste of time.

I actually think that the IBT is prepping us for a no vote. They will try and make minimal changes and use “we are going under” bs tactics.

The 70 hour work week.

First you did NOT NEGOTIATE A NEW LAW ON THE 70/WEEK! honey, you are delusional. I don't care what your pimps have been telling you but you do not make law! Now they may have laid down the law upon your backside but that not the same thing now is it?

You state as your "wins":
1. have to have at least 8 hours. (dah, we have an 8 hour guarantee)
2. force the lower paid first. You did say your degree was in finance right, and this is a "Surprise we win?"
3. Everyone will volunteer for this OT Then you want to claim 1 days work "pays for Christmas." You are one very cheap _____!

YOU WANT TO INCLUDE THE GREAT RECESSION IN YOUR NUMBERS TO BOLSTER YOUR ARGUMENT THAT THE RAISES ARE MORE THAN ENOUGH??? MAY I TELL YOU WHERE YOU CAN SHOVE THAT?

The raises are dramatically less then inflation EVEN FACTORING IN PENSION AND WELFARE INCREASES (which were UNCHANGED from the last contract) I will stop and let that sink in. The increases the company pays for pension are unchanged! In the Central on the back of the very last page the company actually gets to pay less per hour for insurance costs!

Your 401K vs. pension argument proves you do not work for a living, you are just an "academic." Maybe Tyler sees what most of us are beginning to see. The years of being able to make it to 30 years+ are coming to an end due to stresses on the body from the excessive work loads and the "Fire-At-Will" targeting that's going to come from this contract. The StbF regular drivers will be targeted like deer due to the 2 tier wage system you are advocating, thanks again honey!

Current inflation is 2.95!

That is the latest government release. That is the trailing 12 month CPI! We have already paid for a concessionary contract 5 years ago when the company cried about a poor economy stop trying to make us pay again!

Raises are less than the 02 contract! The big raise is for starting rate which the company needed, not me.

Nobody is saying a 22.4 can't bid an RPCD job. But that 22.4 job you take is going to make it a longer wait to get that RPCD job. Yes all current RPCD jobs are locked in. The only way you're going to get a RPCD job is through attrition. All new routes based on growth will be 22.4 until they run into that 25% cap, guaranteed! Now how long is your progression if it takes 8 years to get a RPCD job? 8 YEARS! since you'll always be $6/hr behind.

The alternative, you ask? The company is forced to create those same routes as RPCD jobs, as they're obviously needed to alleviate the excessive overtime. Certain new jobs are bid Tue-Sat, or Wed-Sun and everyone gets the same pay. Why would the company need lower wages when the problem is there's too much work? That's absurd! The union should be taking advantage of that, not retreating from it.

I don't understand how anyone could see this as anything other than a give back in disguise. It is just lengthening the progression without coming right out and saying it!
