Just vote No and move on, IBT is trying to sell this contract and knows it. We will see who has the better pitch, Vote No or Vote Yes. I would like to see @Tony Q go back to work and try to explain how the members didn't buy his sales pitch to the Union big wigs.

not true in our center they have chances to bid routes and some have and some don't want it
You guys are talking about 2 different classifications. Your building obviously doesn't have TCD (temporary cover driver) which is a part time position that works full time hours covering full time driver routes.

You have cover drivers. Full time drivers that don't have their own bid route. Either by seniority or choice. And no there is no exception in pay regarding what they deliver.

That is so strange. You are in the Southwest Package Rider correct? How is it we have bidded RPCDs, Utility Drivers, Cover Drivers and air drivers.

I don't see swing driver anywhere in the Southwest Package Rider.
The snow birds effect that area so that’s what he is calling “swing drivers” but the do have cover drivers. Like I been telling you guys.

Here in the Southern, we call it the following in our building...

FT bid drivers= FT drivers with bid routes

Swing drivers = regular FT drivers with no bid route, they run split routes, trash, vacation routes.

Cover drivers = PT drivers paid 85% top rate, only “suppose” to be used for covering vacations and days off of regular FT drivers. They have inside PT jobs they do when not needed.

Air drivers = run only air at air rate, run ground they get full ground rate (usually have to file to get it)

Seasonals = seasonal drivers hired to run into stuff and run 30 stops a day.

Hey @scratch You want to tell him how your building every single driver worked 70 hours every week of peak and I believe even some weeks after peak? I know every driver here except for the ones that called out sick every Saturday worked 70hrs all through peak. That was 7 weeks here.

My Hub was buried last Peak due to poor planning, Corporate had to send in about 300 people to dig us out. A lot of people ran out of hours for about two months. Saturdays were mandatory so we worked six days a week until we ran out of hours. They had to fly in 70 managers from all over the country with DOT cards and rent that many rentals vans to get us clean. We had mountains of packages that sat in the building for two weeks and didn't move. I wish I could post some photos....

Ive also seen the company refuse to promote people even though they need to.
Yeah, normally drag it out past May 1st. Play the game. Discourage the part timers who have hung on for permanent full time package car jobs. Work supervisors on road in different buildings to hide the fact that they're supes, not off the street drivers.

I'd be proud to tell my family I'm a generic hybrid driver for the biggest package delivery company in the country....nets 6-11 billion yearly, and cant afford to pay all the drivers who do the same job the same hourly wage because their image now focuses on amassing piles of wealth vs taking care of the little people who pour the coals to this engine every day.

That goes for the union as well. You've hacked a lot of people off in the last 5-6 years. Your general election proved it. Sr would punch someone's nose if he could see this mess today, the workers he bled in the streets for, the little peoples families sold out.

Any of you crooked BAs that live your soft existence with a cozy company relationship need to get the boot. It's time for the union to be about people that don't have multiple salaries and pensions.
It's time.

Don’t forget about all the management that was fired and demoted....

We had Mt Saint Irreg outside, that just sat there in rain and everything.

She is twisting his words. He wasn’t saying the 22.4’s (Hybrids) are to replace RPCD’s ( regular package car driver), he was saying RPCD’s who are wanting 22.3 (inside combo jobs) will no longer get them because the 22.4 (Hybrid drivers) will consume those jobs.
Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight

A 22.4 Drivers here is going to make

$129,000 to pension over 5 years
$30 bucks an hour
full time healthcare contributions
AND CAN STLL GO TO THE RPCD POSITION.

You keep talking :censored2: but part timers have families. They will take this great opportunity for their wife and kids. It’s not like they are stuck here they can still go to a RPCD position. It is far better than part time wages, pension and healthcare contributions. PERIOD.

If you vote no your keeping them part time longer. Think about it!
