So next week it's time to vote for our future

I have a question though, why is it that we can start voting next week but the count for the votes is in October? I think thats a little far off, a lot of time for funny business if you ask me.

Anyways, lets get ready for Next week because that will be the start to our future livelihoods!

The time will allow for mistakes to be corrected. People not getting ballots or lost in mail. Stuff like that happens so the time between allows people to correct the mistakes.

Nowhere did Tyler claim he wanted a 401k over a pension.

Sort of....

At 10:08 into his white board video he says "Really think we need to get something going on with the 401K."

We already have a Teamster/UPS 401K for retirement savings, so what is he referring to?

I won't put words in peoples mouths, but is he referring to a matching 401K replacing the defined pension since he was talking about how crappy a $26K pension will be 35 years from now?

Sounds like it to me, since we already have a 401K.

Need time for ballots that got “lost” in the mail to arrive just in time.

The "vote no" movement started on the East coast during the last contract.

It started as a result of the changes in Health & Welfare insurance.

Some members out of Locals 623 and 177.

The driver from 177 (since retired) started the "vote no" facebook page.

(He runs it like a tyrant, not willing to debate other opinions)

There is a member struggle in Local 623.... as to who actually started it there.

Fast forward to today.

TDU is.. and will always be.. an opportunistic, non-Union, source of misinformation.

Now, Teamsters United is pretending to be an "outraged". (think Fred Z)

Flip - flop - Fred....

Has earned his reputation.

Remember, when he sent a letter to the IBT General President ?

Requesting (begging) to replace Walt L.... who had retired ?

Denied.

I wonder what his motivation is ?

The vote no movement started for me when I read this TA

Because in case it passes, they want the contract to go through as close to November as possible as to prevent anyone from going on the 9.5 list.

Why don't you ask a TCD if they would like to make 85% of top rate, Or get sent back to the hub at hub rate. When I was a tcd as much as I hated it. It was much better than working in the hub for peanuts. The company abuses the tcd language sure. But the tcd's want the work ($$)
It afford you an opportunity to make more money sooner than you would have waiting to go full time. How long were you TCD? You got your progression credits right? How about a red circled pay rate?

I have never seen so many vote no guys dish out negative emoji charms when when I post a fact and provide images of the contracts language. HOW STUPID CAN YOU BE? You guys are so in denial and feed off each other’s misinformation. Most of you did not even know you already had two tier Drivers till I posted it here. You guys need to be honest and accept some truth.

It also dragged out the wait for full time to 9 years and 10 months because there were around 18 of us in my center. I was a TCD for 8 1/2 years. I worked every day of that as driver. Also tcd's (back then) were forced to do Saturday air as well. We were the red headed step children of ups and the Teamsters. Nobody gave a sht about us. It was probably the worst and best years of my life. I was a TCD from age 21 to 29.

That very well may be the case (I admittedly never looked) but we do not have or utilize them here.
Maybe not your hub but your Local uses them for sure. Why the hell did you fight me all this time for no reason. It just shows the ignorance of the vote no movement that you refuse listen even when the truth is in right in front of your face. Read the contract PLEASE. Vote how you want but we all depend on each other to take the time to know the facts.

The guys who are really screwed are current TCD's. If this contract gets voted in they are going to go from tcd to 22.4 then to rpcd. It's going to take them 20 years to get rpcd.

Like when I posted Tyler’s two tier driver and guys post “creative”. It’s not really creative is it? If fact you can’t get more any more truthful about it than that. It was all funny at first till I realize there are a lot of vote no people are seriously straight up in denial. Don’t act like you don’t see it. I know you get me points.

I get your points but I saw how Cover Drivers ruined my building so I can see their points also. If Flemings numbers are correct, 20% of the country doesn't have a 2 tier driver. Ours were pushed on us by our supplementals. Now they are trying to force every one to have them. So if they want to vote No then that's up to them.

Ok, you were that group that did get screwed by working Saturday air. That was a big problem that did eventually get fixed. Correct me if I am wrong but there was also a hiring freeze at that time and you probably would have been stuck in the Hub if you didn’t take the TCD job. I know that situation because we had to deal with it here too. You really were i. a tough time and I totally get you voting no.
