The ill-prepared are gonna have to figure it out.

My pension is my travel fund. We'll either be able to travel the world at will....or I can travel to the bar when she's at work.....pretty happy either way.
So the pension is necessary because some people don't prepare for retirement on their own..... And then they still end up ill-prepared for retirement. Mkay then.

So you’re posting a video of two adults that want to complain about having to travel between several part time jobs because of the poverty wages in part time.

Go. Package. Car. Driving.

Problem resolved!!!

They sure have an easy time on a casual afternoon enjoying beers telling you what’s bad about the contract. Couldn’t do that with a full time job at ups.

Instead of wasting their time making a forty minute video of the same rhetoric garbage Tyler Binder and those Tdu pukes.... they’d should reassess themselves and leave high school - and exercise their seniority for a full time position, when work is available :)

Not a necessary rather a benefit for the most of us who are not financially savvy to plan for our own retirement. If we were that smart we would not be delivery packages to the age of 50+ or 60+.

The bigger picture is that the risk is inherently less in a large multiemployer pension plan than in an individual 401k

However, mismanagement of a plan can prove otherwise

Great Job Dave and Dustin. Phenomenal.... The HOFFA/HALL/UPS team should have addressed (in over a year) the topics you addressed in just 40 minutes. Yet; The Teamsters and UPS refuse to answer these easily answered questions (FOR OVER A YEAR, NO ANSWERS).

I was a part-timer for about 10 years and am now an almost 20 year FT driver. Part Timers deserve the $15 and the catch up.

Full Time Drivers are going to vote this garbage POS down in big numbers. WAY DOWN. Educate the PTers and the Part Timers will vote NO.

22.4 is an absolute non-starter...A NO GO. Why would the Teamsters create a position with NO OT protections, NO 9.5 rights, and NO 8 hour requests? AND if the 22.4 position proposal is not eliminated; Why isn't OT offered on a voluntary basis 1st to RPCDs and then force OT from the bottom up. Force 22.4s 1st and then force RPCDs. 90% of current package car drivers are not on the 9.5 list and do not mind some OT or even a lot of OT. So give the RPCD the 1st right to OT in writing in the CBA. 22.4s will want to spend time with their families; Right?

The Hoffa/Taylor/UPS collusion team has found a way to create new language that guarantees 40 hours a week and 8 hours a day for 5 consecutive days for 22.4s; Why can't that same collusion team come up with this language.......ALL RPCDs ARE GUARANTEED 8 HOURS PER DAY, 5 CONSECUTIVE DAYS AND 40 HOURS PER WEEK. THAT LANGUAGE SHOULD BE IN THE CBA.

NO ONE WANTS A STRIKE; WE KNOW THAT. A STRIKE IS HIGHLY IMPROBABLE AT UPS. ALMOST 0% CHANCE ESPECIALLY BEFORE PEAK. THE JAMIE FLEMMING AND HOFFA SLAPPY CRAP FEAR MONGERING IS JUST THAT.

This collusion occurring in union/company cba negotiations is all too real. It has been going on for years. It is reprehensible that this has been going on for decades. Look at the UAW/Chrysler How much legal trouble could Fiat Chrysler, UAW face in scandal? It is all to similar to what IS happening here for years and years.

THE SCARIEST TELL TALE SIGN OF THIS GARBAGE HOFFA/HALL/UPS BS TEAM CBA COLLUDING IS THE ROB ATKINSON CASE. READ THIS .... Atkinson Hearing Reveals Disturbing Relationship Between UPS And Teamsters | bringbackthefight HOFFA IS MORE THAN CULPABLE. WHEN THE HOFFA TEAM REFUSED TO TAKE ACTION AGAINST BETTY ROSE FISHER (a high ranking union official "representing" over 95,000 teamsters) PA CONFERENCE OF TEAMSTERS (NOT EVEN A SENTENCE IN THE TEAMSTERS MAGAZINE) ; HOFFA NOT ONLY PROVED HE CONDONES BETTY ROSE FISCHER'S BEHAVIOR; BUT THAT HE ENCOURAGES IT and MOST LIKELY ORDERS IT.... AND THE RANKS OF THE HOFFA LOCALS FALL IN LINE. HOW MANY MORE LOCALS HAVE PARTNERED WITH UPS TO GET RID OF "PROBLEM" EMPLOYEES? I KNOW FROM EXPERIENCE AND FROM REVIEWING 100'S OF COURT CASES THAT ROB IS ONLY 1 OF THE 100S+ WHO HAVE FALLEN VICTIM TO AND BEEN RUN OVER BY THE HOFFA/UPS MACHINE.

The Hoffa slate had the vast majority of delegates at the Teamsters convention; yet Hoffa lost the US vote and Hoffa scraped by with 102,740 votes to Teamsters United candidate Fred Z’s 96,308.

THE VOTE YES LOCALS DO NOT HAVE OUR BEST INTERESTS AT HEART. They are looking out for Themselves and UPS...not you or I.

VOTE NO.

They should put the money in your 401k eack week instead of a pension fund. By the time you retire you would be set. However, that doesn't allow for teamsters and ups to mess things up. So they want to keep control of the accounts.

Not sure what you're getting at, but I came from a fiscally responsible family (not rich, but responsible) who taught me to pay myself first. It's a simple philosophy, but at the end of the day, your retirement is a you issue. My pension could fall out entirely, we're still gonna be ok, because I'm planning for that.

I'm getting at you would have done better with the pension money on your own.
