No mention of holidays in either the NMA or supplement documents that I was sent.

I found that odd.

Anyway, we will almost certainly still be working under the 2013-18 agreements by Black Friday 2018, so as a 177 driver, I'll be off that day.
Come on, be a team player.

There is no need to re hash this contract. It been looked at from all angles. In my opinion this contract is an epic sell out by union leadership of its members. The people that put this together should be burned at the stake. The only people that benefit is management and off the street hires. Full timers will lose OT. If you don't think so your blind to managements vindictiveness and incapable of simple math. Part timers will lose the opportunity current full timers have had up until now and will work longer and harder for less money.

No more underclass employees. No more multi tier drivers. No more cover drivers. You are either a full time driver part time air driver or shuttle driver. As a stockholder I frankly don't see the profitability of the weekend operations. Weekend ground seems like a good excuse to get multi tier drivers. If the company wants weekend drivers then create a weekend driver position similar to Saturday air. You want to fix excessive overtime then add a few drivers and routes.

22.4 is a GUT PUNCH a SELLOUT a BACKSTAB and a giant friend YOU.

Tell them 22.4 is DOA and unacceptable. Vote Hell No!

Folks ,

We , the people , the backbone, heart eat and spirit of this beloved corporation are being sold down river , very , very cheap . We can do so much better than what is being shoved down our throats or up our rear ends . What our Teamster negotiation committee members are tentatively agreeing to is so beneath what we deserve . Let's start with the wages , yes we are already paid nicely but we "earn" it , dont we !!! . What is $4.15 over 5 years , roughly 83 cents a year . What happened to the days of $1.00 , $1.25 , hell 95 cent raises ? U.P.S. recieved such a nice tax cut , from 35% to 21% , and this is the best they can do ? , "NO" !!! . They are forecasted to net 6 , six , BILLION dollar profit this year alone (then add newly added tax cuts ) . We live in the most prosperous nation in the world , our economy is exploding . I'm not getting into politics ,however we have a "BILLION" dollar President , a businessman at that . Why should we vote "NO" is a no brainer ? It's our time , we deserve more , the economy is ripe, tax cuts on businesses , labor shortages, CDL driver shortage , we control the shipping industry all adds up to "it's there for the taking " . This might be our last time in a while to capitalize on all that is front of us . The most that can happen if we fail to vote "no" is we move ahead with this subpar contract , BUT if we were to overwhelmingly vote "NO" we send our representatives back to the table with so much more to gain , folks U.P.S. will bend , but we have to ask for it . We have to continue to engage our fellow coworkers, we have to use all tools available such as SOCIAL MEDIA , flyers , text , emails , parking lot meetings , Union hall meetings. We can do this folks , dont settle for this low ball offer , when we have so much more to gain at such a fruitful time . A vote "NO" does not mean we will go on strike , they still have til July 31st to wrap this up , but if a yes vote now will only get you what is being offered , and our representatives get to go back to playing golf and fancy dinners and vacays. Let's make them work for us , is that to much to ask ?? Remember this , what might be a nice contract for a senior feeder driver looking forward to retirement in a couple years , might look like crap to a new hire part time who is paying his dues , same thing for a combo employee and a package car driver . All that glitters , is not gold . Lastly , I will leave you with this , U.P.S. wants to succeed, so do you , corporate wants the numbers to keep going up , we want our bank accounts to keep thriving , our time with our families going up . Right now what is being offered is only a scratching of the surface of what we could have . And "NO" , I do not want a strike , that's why we send them back to the table to negotiate, but if we dont come together you will never no what you could have had . Unity folks , we can do this !!!!
"VOTE NO "
if the union supported the part-timers those part time wages would have matched inflation like the full timers did....now would be 30 dollars an hour......face the fact that the union thinks that part-timers don't matter and don't count on many levels.

as far as labor in this country.......unions used to represent 37 percent of the work force...now 11 percent.....what kind of organizing is that ?......failure has no excuse except itself

This all seems of wierd to me. Going to the locals meeting on the weekend I hear, hell yes I’m voting no, I ask why, To shove it up our Dm and Cms ass... Guess they read something on Facebook.. I am getting older, I realize you’re either smart or tough. I can take the beating, I’m high school educated and make good money with better benefits. I’ve got it good, yes the work busts arse but tell that to the roofer making half our salaries with no insurance... When does this stop? Ups has made a gazillon dollars. We all know. When does it end ? 100 a hr , anyone one payrolls guaranteed 40 with zero progression involved? To me one must earn this level of comfort, I did

I'm not worried about the money. I don't want the rights we have now diluted. If we accept a badly written contract, we can then assume there will be lots of bad interpations of it as well. So why not ask for more definitve language before we have a problem. The simply fix on most of the contract would have been to reduce our ot and not work Sat and Sun. and allows us to have off on the days we agreed on. Like Friday after Thanksgiving.

Fix the Pension debacle..makes 0 sense how a person 1 State away could have a Pension pay out over $400 a month better. And pay half the cost of retiree health insurance
