When is the last time anyone has seen a wrecked UPS truck left out to rot? This is one of a half dozen I see on a daily basis.
Parts on order, ok to drive. It'll buff out! Good to go...
True. When their employees get mad and quit, they just quit and get on with life instead of not being able to let go.Fedex is so beneath UPS in every way that it’s downright comical.
Good to know that you’re acquainted with every UPS driver across the country.True. When their employees get mad and quit, they just quit and get on with life instead of not being able to let go.

One thing that FedEx is superior on is the ability to transfer. I've worked in some amazing areas because of it. Of course amazing areas tend to be a lot more expensive so getting out of such areas is a plus too.Fedex is so beneath UPS in every way that it’s downright comical.
That is a really good point. Wonder if it’ll still be that way post-merger.One thing that FedEx is superior on is the ability to transfer. I've worked in some amazing areas because of it. Of course amazing areas tend to be a lot more expensive so getting out of such areas is a plus too.
I wouldn't be where I am today if I couldn't transfer. I'd be stuck in NYCOne thing that FedEx is superior on is the ability to transfer. I've worked in some amazing areas because of it. Of course amazing areas tend to be a lot more expensive so getting out of such areas is a plus too.
When I was in my 20's I considered trying NYC. I was in Stamford, CT at the time. Talking to some guys who transferred out of NYC cured me of that idea lol.I wouldn't be where I am today if I couldn't transfer. I'd be stuck in NYC
In some cases, that is probably true, but there are some FedEx Home delivery trucks on my route that have been sitting in a junk yard for at least 3 years now, and they are easily visible from the highway. UPS does not leave wrecked trucks out in plain site for the public to see. For that matter, Express doesn't either. Our wrecked trucks are behind the station, out of the public eye.Thats at a body shop, no doubt waiting for front end parts that are on back order.. probably mostly because AMZ vehicles getting wrecked.
Looks like one of the old 1200s that were actually 1200s. The new 1200s are more like 1100.RIP….Being sent off to the crusher.

For sure I have a pretty heavy pick up run. I could fit way more in my old 1200 I could stack two shirt boxes on top of each other on the top shelf, not anymoreIm saying a 1000. But yes new 1200=1100 and new 1000=900 it seems.
That’s P-1000. I drove one long enough.Im saying a 1000. But yes new 1200=1100 and new 1000=900 it seems.
I doubt it.. I imagine through attrition the former Express routes will go up for bid to the contractors. FedEx doesn't want too much bad press and laying everyone off right now and telling them they can work for a contractor if they want, would be ty. So if 30-40% of couriers remain it'll probably be 5-6 years and that number will dwindle. That is a really good point. Wonder if it’ll still be that way post-merger.
