Where did David Hobbs go? I liked his commentary.
Never see a more dramatic buckling of seat belts than in that movie.Got the "Bullitt" collector's edition .Still laugh about that green Beetle.

Hell--- when I started UPS trucks didn't even have seatbelts. Have I mentioned lately how tuff we had it?
You didn't have those trucks with the butt-rest instead of a seat? Like the old milk trucks.
That's kind of what I started with. The seat pedestal would tilt forward so you could walk behind it easier.
Didn't realize that was the factor. Makes sense now. No Matchett, Buxton, etc. Too bad.F1 is now on ESPN. He was on NBC.
The ones I'm talking about just had a padded thing to lean your butt on. Drove standing up.
We didn't have any, but down in the big city they still were using a few.
In fact, seats did not exist back then.Hell--- when I started UPS trucks didn't even have seatbelts. Have I mentioned lately how tuff we had it?

Close. The first truck I drove other than my road test was a 1964 Ford.
The old flat top Econolines?
The old flat top Econolines?
No, it was an 800 with a Ford nose until the roof blew off (the wood frame rotted away) and it was rebuilt with the bubble nose.
Freaking 14 year old POS when I started, and don't think it got crushed until the early '80s.
We did have one of those old Econolines with big fog lights on the bumper they used as a feeder.
We had 4 of those old early 60's Econolines. When they gave out the were replaced with Bubble-top Econolines.
